We really enjoyed our breakfast here! The wait staff was smiling. The specials explained well. They offer a 10% discount for seniors. The omelette special was $8.99 for a two egg omelette, hash browns and toast. It was delicious. The polish sausage combo was great too.

No repeats! I really wanted to like this place. My experience was terrible. Arrived 7:30 ish in the morning. We were the only customers. We waited about 10 minutes for service. This is a small restaurant but our server was too busy talking with the cook to be bothered with us. Ordered a coffee and I like strong coffee but this coffee was bitter and not very good. Not a deal breaker as coffee is different from place to place. We ordered French toast and bacon & also eggs hashbrowns toast and sausage. The French toast was pretty good the bacon not so much. The hashbrowns way undercooked the sausage patties gross. Server never checked on us! As we attempted to eat the food a “giant” and I do mean “giant” centipede ran down the wall and onto our table! I smashed it and informed our server. She said ” yeah I think we are going to have to move that picture because bugs live behind it”. What?! Needless to say we will never return.

Exactly what you should expect for an old style cafe. Cafe coffee, cafe food, and friendly Cafe service. If you don’t love this place and rated five-star you’re crazy. It’s not a five-star restaurant. It’s a true old style cafe with great homemade cooking at the core and pleasant service. Had a great meal here with my husband. We love the place.

Egg house has changed ownership and it’s obvious. I ordered a taco salad and it was missing ingredients on it. I ate it and didn’t say anything. Then today I ordered a reuben sandwich. My reuben came on white bread, not rye, and no thousand Island dressing. I went back to the restaurant and asked why it’s missing key ingredients. They don’t have any rye bread or dressing! Why not tell you before you order. Then she asked what I’d like instead, I said I’d like a French dip and I confirmed they had everything and they said they did. Another cook came out and told the waitress that they didn’t have hoagie buns and they needed to go to the store to get more. I am now waiting 30 minutes after my lunch break for a French dip!

This is one of my go to breakfast places in the neighborhood, I always managed to get a table and the food is good. The service here is always welcoming and has a homely feel. Me and the kids eat here close to twice a month so, that’s pretty often. Pricing is manageable and large portions.
