I am from North Jersey thought I find a place to eat before heading home for 1 hour and 30 min; I found Latin Bites reviews were ok and thought, why not give it a try? We ordered alcapurrias to start. They were decent and could have used more meat, not your traditional one thought $7.50 for each was wild. Then we ordered mofongo with fried meat portion size. It has a good mofongo good flavor could have used some caldo to go with it. My ropa vieja looked great but lacking a little flavor. Arroz tasted like it was previously made. Now on to service, greated right away order taken cook/owner not sure brought the food was never asked if we needed anything then we saw a dog come out of the kitchen. Into dining area. Probably will never go back even if it was 5 minutes from my house. Also a lillt pricey please see attached photos.o

I absolutely love the food here but they solidly over price themselves. They got rid of the tray of 12 empanadas. So now you have to buy them individually at $4.50 each. They should not be more then $2.75. My family would eat here at least once a week if they were more fair with their pricing. They started with a food truck and usually food trucks are at special events where people understand that food prices will be high. But for a regular restaurant you can’t price your food as though every day is a special event. We only end up ordering here maybe 3 or 4 times a year because of the prices.

I saw their sign when I was driving by and decided to give it a try. The place smelled amazing. The staff were friendly, I ordered grilled chicken with mojo sauce, sweet plantains and yucca fries. It was cooked perfectly!!! I’ll definitely be going back.

Brought food here for lunch while on break and the food came out delicious. It’s a cute little place for a quick lunch and I like the options on the menu.

Chicken with garlic sauce and shredded steak in tomato sauce was good. Seemed the chicken was a bit over cooked but good nonetheless. owner is a jem of a guy and will go out of his way to ensure you are satisfied.

Had them tonight at Laurita Winery. The empanadas were great and the Cuban sandwich was the best I’ve had I’m a while

Food was horrible and super expensive! $90 on food we barely ate. Breaded steak had no seasoning at all, it tasted like meat and was like they refried it. The lady working there said they didn’t marinate the steak they have new cooks and they weren’t following the recipe. Would never go again, real Puerto Rican/Cubans would be so disappointed. The only thing we liked was the yuca fries and sorullos . Don’t waste your money. 1 star was for customer service, she was really nice.

I had the pork chunks, plátanos, arroz con gandules and fried yuca. The only thing that was edible was the plátanos. The rice had no salt, no seasoning, no sofrito, the meat tasted refried dry with no seasoning . This restaurant definitely needs a new cook. Preferably one that taste the food. I am Puerto Rican and we cook with flavor. I am so disappointed this restaurant is representing our culture in my area. Please do better and take pride in the food you cook.

Never had an alcapurria like this! Paper thin hardly any meat. Looked more like an empanada than anything else. Very disappointed (food truck)
