This is the quintessential Southern New Mexico Mexican restaurant. I eat there probably once or twice a month. Consistently good food, generous portions, very reasonably priced. They are not reinventing the wheel, they are serving good quality, typical-for-our-area, Mexican food in a pleasant environment with competent and friendly servers. They even have good cheeseburgers and fries, too. When a tasty, filling dinner for 2 comes in at under $25, I’m pretty happy, tbh. That the meal is served in a clean, enjoyable dining room where you can comfortably talk with your dinner companions– bonus.

If you want good quality authentic Mexican food, this is NOT the place to go. I was very disappointed in our meal here the other day. The wait staff was nice, although we only saw our waitress like twice. Other waitresses kept coming by to check on us and refill our drinks. You have to order and pay for chips and salsa, so we ordered some. For our meal we got a combination plate and tostadas compuestas. The bean tostada and the red tostada were pretty good, but I didn’t really care for the green one. The combination plate was very disappointing. The red sauce on the enchilada was good, but the green sauce and the relleno was horrible!! The chile relleno was way too eggy and soggy, and the green sauce just tastes like cream of mushroom soup. The guacamole sauce on the flauta wasn’t very good either. I don’t think we will be coming back here. Then after we were done eating we had to just get up and stand at the register to get our check after we had asked for it and they never brought it. As you can see in the picture, they weren’t that busy, so no idea where our waitress was.

The one we visited did not have margaritas. They will be getting their license back in September.

I was sad cause usually the service is great and the food is too. But this time I never got a refill on my coffee. My beans were really dry and had a powdery consistency. After eatting I got sick.

This place used to be my favorite because of the menudo. First time back in a long time and I was disappointed with their menudo because the meat was too big and chewy. My daughter had the beef tacos and she said they were just ok. The orchata, chips and salsa are excellent!

I enjoy how fresh it is. Considering how hot it is this summer. I can order anything from the menu and leave happy. When I call in order also.

Decent prices for the food, but not worth it.

Recommended. Great eats at reasonable prices. No frills on the food, just great New Mexican style mexican, and the dacor was really nice. We were a group of 12, they had fast, friendly service. All the different dishes just at our table shows a tasty selection and variety. The burritos at the next table were awesome looking …. I’ll be returning! So should you!

Greeted with friendly service. Prices are extremely reasonable. Super authentic food and flavors. 3 words, Relleno Chicharrone burrito. The carne asada tacos come with fresh avocado and garnish. I was very impressed.
