The place offers take-out only, and it’s a good thing, because this on night, it was stifling hot while waiting inside the spartan customer area. I had no idea how the workers could bear the heat working in the kitchen.

I had been out of state for sometime helping my parents with their Healthcare needs and getting them set up for adtl. services when I had returned to town I wanted food from this place. I called in my order was quoted the price and I was appalled by the doubling of the price. I was told the prices have gone up a little, double the cost is double the cost that far more than “a little”. This place stinks and it is by no means worth the cost or aggravation.

I wonder why Chinese restaurants in the area do not take credit cards. Anyway, called and placed an order, when I went to give my credit card number, the woman on the phone, slammed the phone in my ear. I understand, maybe she was frustrated because it took her 7 times before she got my address correct. I called back to complain and the owner laughed and said Yeah, she don’t understand “. Sorry, pal, slamming the phone in someone’s ear is universal language for something I cannot write here. It is also very bad customer service in any language.

This place is excellent!!! They have THE best wonton soup I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot of wonton soup!!!! . Everything I have had here has been great and very generous portions. I’ve had the chicken and shrimp, boneless spareribs, happy family, shrimp lo mein, chicken with mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken , egg rolls, and the crab and cheese wontons. Yummmmmmm!!!!!!!!

Last week I had the good fortune to experience the fine food at golden city. This restaurant was recommended to me by my hair stylist. The dish I ordered was Singapore mein fun. Luckily for me I ordered one of the chefs finer concoctions. The dish consisted of noodles, shrimp and vegetables all put together with a spicy flavor that may have been part curry and part cayenne pepper. The blend of the spices was put together by the chef in a manner which showed culinary mastery. I was very impressed by the quality of the food at golden city.
