My husband took me to Akita Back for the first time after our wedding and we had a wonderful time. We ordered the 8-course set and everything was amazingly delicious. We liked them all and couldn’t even rank which dish we liked the most. Food presentations were very impressive and creative. The servers were very attentive and helpful in providing drink recommendations. Great service, excellent foods and delicious drinks! We enjoyed our time there and plan to visit again.

I read an article about this place and then took 6 friends, we got a private room and delightfully we gave our waitstaff a price range and they picked a many course experience which blew us away. We even had a few folks who don’t love fish and they were accommodated and they loved it was well! This is my new go to to impress out of town guests.

i wanted to treat my girl for our anniversary and akira back was THE perfect spot. Aside from the wonderful hand crafted cocktails each dish on this seasonal tasting menu was made to perfection. My girl and I enjoyed each dish, although the lamb chops were by far the best!

I wanted to love this place. Reservations were easy to make, but I was sorely disappointed overall. The music was so loud and about mid meal the sun was in my eyes. Service was good, but the restaurant wasn’t terribly busy. Food was decent, but again, my expectation was much higher.

We had the 8 course set dinner and it was just AMAZING. I didn’t take pics of every plate and I regret it. All beautifully played and delicious . The lychee drink is very good but very sweet. Wouldn’t order it again. They have a rose wine that is perfection and I would just go with that one next time. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars in atmosphere is that the music is so loud that the conversations have to be at almost “yelling” level and when the waiters some and try to explain each plate, it’s very very hard to hear them .

Excellent location by the Grandscape. Atmosphere and service are average for the price range. The food is the only highlight but watch out the portions are very small. I like Kai and Nobu much better for this price range. The tables are so close to each other and cramped that the waiter (s) were hardly audible although they were being very theatrical. It was confusing as they were switching waiters. My drink took forever to arrive. I saw it sitting on the counter unattended, waiting to be served. I walked out with a hole in my wallet and a half empty stomach… Hoping there was a drive through nearby! If you want exotic Japanese food, try Blue Fish, Nobu or Kai.

My husband and I visited Akira Back for the first time last night and we can’t wait to go back! We both had the Greatest Hits tasting menu . I added the premium wine pairing, and he added the Sake pairing. The food was absolutely amazing, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The pairings were very well thought out and it was a lot of wine It was also one of the most expensive meals we’ve had, largely because of the added drinks, but was so worth it we’re already planning our next trip and have recommended it to just about everyone we know.

Whiskey & wagyu Wednesday is a DEAL! Food was SO good. Kimchi scallops were amazing. We had the Wagyu trio which I would HIGHLY recommend. Wagyu old fashioned was sweet, but I really liked it. Sushi was great but not super unique, I’d definitely choose some of the more unusual dishes at this place. We loved it.

Last night, my wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing Akira Back for the first time, and we are already counting down the days until our next visit! Opting for the Greatest Hits tasting menu with premium wine and Sake pairings was an excellent decision. The food was beyond exceptional, and it easily ranks among the best meals we’ve ever savored. The thoughtful wine pairings added an extra layer of delight, making it a truly unforgettable dining experience. We can’t wait to return for more culinary delights at Akira Back!
