There are not enough stars to rate, easily 10 out of 5. The BBQ is wonderful. Brisket is melt in your mouth tender and so full of flavor. The ribs were seasoned well and just the right tenderness. The burnt ends OMG the burnt ends! Each bite was a bit of heaven in my mouth. Baked beans and slaw were on point. Staff was attentive Will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic atmosphere and some of the best BBQ you’ll find in Chattanooga. Both the pulled pork and the brisket are delicious, and I highly recommend the nachos. The sweet tea is perfect for the drink. Military friendly!

First of all, the owners are terrific. They make sure to come around and say hi and to make sure everything was to your liking. The food… I’ve had a number of dishes from Charlies, all deserving a 5 star rating. The brisket, the sausage, etc…. Simply amazing. I’d rate them 10 stars if I could.

Brisket was tender and really tasty (the temperature was not hot so maybe it sat under a fan), mac n cheese was so cheesy and a little spicey, it had small jalapenos, which was a great twist. Chicken and waffles was a different kind of goodness. Also had the Chess Pie, amazing good eats. Staff was excellent, very thankful and owner came to table to thank us as well. We will be back!

Wow! I judge several KCBS BBQ Competitions each year and this was some of the best BBQ I’ve had. The chicken had a great smoke flavor and the brisket rivaled some of the best I’ve ever judged. I would definitely recommend Charlie’s BBQ to anyone travelling through or near Chattanooga; and I will surely be back next time I’m in town!

I got the two meat plate with pulled pork and smoked turkey. The pork was tender but the flavor could be ramped up a notch. The turkey was pretty dry I hate to say. We did go later in the evening so that might have been why. Neither of the meats were overly warm. The coleslaw was not the best either. It needs some oomph for sure. The desserts on the other hand were amazing! I LOVE chess pie and their chess pie was some of the best. Their cookies were also bomb! I will also say the owners are SUPER SUPER nice people and I wish them the best!

Second time here, first for my mom. Food was amazing as expected. We came for the donut brisket sandwich with potato salad and mac and cheese in the side. The mac and cheese is highly recommended. My mom was visiting out of state and loved it as well.

I’m a big fan of Charlie’s. The cornbread waffle is so delicious and a unique menu item. Plus, their desserts are so good! My wife and I got chess pie and peach cobbler on our most recent trip and both were phenomenal. I only wish they had white bbq sauce.

A little off the beaten path for other Chattanooga eateries but don’t let that deter you from swinging by! The owners and staff are friendly and the food is fantastic. We had a little of everything’s could including the pulled pork, the smoked bbq chicken, the brisket, coleslaw, pasta salad, and baked beans and loved it all. They have ribs too which I am sure must be good just based on everything else.

Got the brisket loaded potato and smoked macaroni. Sat down and had two bites of chess pie and they already had the food out to the table. Tender brisket, buttery potato. Worth the trip.
