Went for lunch on a weekday. Not super busy. Basically set up like a fast food place. Order at the counter and wait at the table for your food. Took almost 20 minutes for the sandwiches to come out. The food was ok. I got the Cuban but it had almost no pickle on it. I thought they used to give you bread and butter but maybe they don’t do that anymore because they did not bring it out to us. Drinks and to go boxes are self service.

One of my favorite restaurants for 20+ years now. Just got a Cuban and deviled crab this weekend and deviled crab prices are super high now, but they are so good I don’t think I’ll ever stop ordering them! One of my favorite Cubans in all of the Tampa area. Also 7th Ave salad with creamy herb dressing is incredible. Never had a meal I have t loved here and service is usually fantastic as well.

We used La Septima for a large catering order – food was delivered on time and the process was so easy. Not to mention the food was incredible! I lost count how many times people asked where this was from – the avenue salad was delicious and very large portions as well! We cannot recommend it enough!

I have had a lot of Cuban food and this is by far the most disappointing one. No one in my table of 4 finished their meal after not eating all day, staff was very friendly. Lets say the best part of the meal was the passion fruit and guava cut water, definitely getting more of those at the store. My palomilla tasted like I’m going to have funky guts, bread was stale a simple toast with butter would have made the world difference. Is sad when everyone said we should have gone to taco bell

It is our go to place for their 7th Ave salad. Every time we serve their salad to guests they rave about how good it is. The other dish that ranks as one of my favorite’s is their Cuban Fusion Bowl with pork.

Dark, gloomy, humid restaurant. Set up like fast food you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. My four children and husband were starving not one of us were able to finish our food. My palomilla had a puddle of oil on the plate and for lack of words it was simply disgusting. The fried yuca tasted like cold oil & smelled like wet dog. The rice was mushy and the beans lacked flavor. My husband’s picadillo tasted like straight up sugar. The bread we ordered (yes you pay for some bread and butter)

Oh what a disappointment. I used to go here years ago. The food is simply awful. You order at the counter. Counter guy is super nice. We ordered 2 salads, Yuca fries, ropa vejo, and Spanish bean soup. We expected the salad to come out first, but it all came out together. Salad itself was OK, the ranch dressing was simply milk and mayo. Almost like they forgot the ranch mix. The yuca fries were breaded and greasy, soup was simply water and beans no taste no spice. No salt. The Ropa was too sweet almost as if they used ketchup in it. It felt like a cafeteria vs the intimate restaurant I remembered. Everything was served on plastic throw away.

This is not like the old La Septima. Don’t go. The rice was hard, ropa vieja smelled weird and tasted like tomato sauce, I wasn’t able to eat it. The Cuban was not authentic in any way. The tea and other food items tasted like they had been left out and reused to save money. It’s really sad that they’re using this name with this food quality.
