We dined in and had takeout several times over the course of our stay at the Polynesian. Never disappointed! Food was always hot, fresh and delicious. Service was impeccable! We definitely enjoyed ourselves! The chowder was a favorite, full of chunky potatoes, bacon and clams and the fish and chips were super crispy and hot. We even had chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns and gravy, with blueberry pancakes the next morning, and everything was absolutely delicious can’t wait to come back in August!

My husband, brother and I had a fantastic dining experience tonight. Anthony was our server and was wonderful. Food was delicious! If want a more quiet/romantic atmosphere this is a great place to go. We will be back for sure!

Went with my husband for dinner yesterday, the food was absolutely delicious. My husband has a burger and I had the Cajun fettuccine. Seriously it was soo good. The service was great and the place was beautiful. It would make a beautiful wedding venue. I kinda felt underdressed in jeans, but I also felt pretty comfortable too. Overall, great experience and I will definitely be back next time I’m in town and looking for a place to eat.

Got breakfast here on a Saturday and was disappointed. The place looks beautiful but service was very slow. Slow to speak to anyone, slow to order and slow to get food. When food finally arrived some food was missing, gave us the wrong toast. Hash browns were undercooked and bland. The omelette I got has the cheapest meat you can find. Absolutely no flavor. Only way to make it okay was to add lots of salt pepper and ketchup. Prices are also slightly higher than other diner so I was expecting some decent quality. Should have gone somewhere else.

We sat down after waiting over 30 minutes… The table next to us which was a group of eight started eating their food before we had even gotten appetizers. When mentioning this to the front, she replied, it’s not the servers fault it’s the kitchen’s fault. and my recent experience as a worker and hospitality, it doesn’t matter whose fault it is you rectify the situation. No apology was given no discount no offer of how to make it right 100% thumbs down service.

Seafood and Cajun fettuccine was great, staff was great. Leaky roof with a bucket on the floor was a turn off as well as the bar was closed down so no alcoholic beverages. Was also cold inside. Overall still a good experience.

Service was friendly and good. I had a side salad with house-made blueberry vinaigrette dressing. Delicious!! Coconut prawns (with sweet chili sauce) were a good size and tasty, but coconut breading too thick for my taste. Hubby had fish and chips. Cod pieces were well battered and a decent size (about 4×4”) and he enjoyed them, but the house-made tartar sauce had an odd spice we didn’t really enjoy. Fries were delicious but TOO salty, even for me! Cole slaw was terrible … like it was made with watery mayo. Atmosphere was okay, but shows some real signs of wear. The fabric back in our booth, for example, was ripped in a couple of places. Prices were good, considering it’s a resort town, so I’d say we got our moneys worth and, overall, enjoyed our experience.

We had the seafood Alfredo and coconut shrimp appetizer. Both were fantastic. This place doesn’t have a huge menu but what they offer is great. I hope they keep making great food and keep the chefs happy.
