The Local Guide
Drove by this place many times but this was the first time I decided to try their Famous hot dogs. Boy!! Don’t waste your money. It’s just a normal pork hot dog. Nothing more than your average ballpark dog with toppings. So sad they boil the dogs. At $3.50 each you would have better options. Costco @ $1.50 for a larger dog and drink, or Wawa @ $2 for a better tasting dog. The fries were the only thing good.

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. I got a chilli cheese hotdog, a bacon cheese hotdog and an order of fries. I highly recommend stopping here.

As others mention, this didn’t live up to the hype. This was the 2nd time back just in case it was off on my first visit a while back. Basic pork hotdog with not much taste. No cooked red onions which is a huge miss in my opinion for a Jersey hotdog place. Fryer was down so couldn’t get fries which I remember being the highlight the last time I was there. Gave it the second chance but won’t be back. Miss the days of roadside carts being the norm in NJ.

It’s not Portillo’s (best chili dogs in the universe). That being said, the chili dogs here are very good. Served in much the same way as Portillo’s, they were great to have again.

Hotdogs were pretty good. Nothing to go crazy over but a solid hotdog nonetheless. Service is perfectly fine. Atmosphere is minimal but you’re not really going here for the atmosphere. Everything was clean and sitting outside is perfect for enjoying a fresh hotdog.

I like the quirky summer boardwalk feel of the place. The hotdogs were ok. I’ve tried some fantastic hotdogs in the city and north Jersey so for me, this place was just ok, it felt a little bland to me. To be fair, I ordered plain dogs for the kiddos so I can’t speak for the toppings and extras. There’s an ice cream shop in the rear which is super cute for summer treats.
