Our family have been eating at Vernon Pizza since they opened in the 70’s. The food is usually very good. But our last 2 takeout orders have been so-so. Tonight’s pizza – double cheese, double mushroom showed a real lack of care in the making. Soggy, unappetizing and mushrooms in clumps on basically 2 pieces. I expect better. Huge disappointment. Had a Genoa salami grinder, no oil in the oven. Came out as ordered. Staff awesome here btw but the kitchen has changed. Maybe 2 slices of salami and a couple slices of cheese and a ton of iceberg lettuce. These grinders used to be loaded with meat and cheese. Was disappointed. Restaurant as always clean and staff, like I said wonderful. Also recently had take out pizza from there. Sauce without flavor. Sorry hope things in the kitchen eventually match up with your great staff! Will be a bit before I try again. Work hard for my money to put down on an iceberg lettuce grinder.
