The chicken taco salad lunch is delicious. We’ve gotten it to go several times and head up to the Blue Ridge Pkwy to enjoy. The guacamole and chips are yummy, too.

My fav Mexican spot in the area. Always solid quick service, friendly staff and great music pumping out from the kitchen area. There’s a sweet “date booth” as well that’s just seats on one side. Chips and salsa are always great!

I’m a local and I’ve frequented El Chapala for years. The staff know me by name and they feel like family. I highly recommend their margaritas. They make them strong, just FYI. I always get the steak fajitas and the fiancé gets alamabres. Delicious! Also, if you’re up for dessert, be sure to get the flan.

I was actually headed to a different restaurant when we drove by this place. There were a couple of Brevard police officers having dinner here so we knew this had to be a good place. We decided to swing in and check it out. The service was very proficient and our waiter was very attentive. I would give the food to four stars it was very good, but the top shelf margaritas with the fresh lime juice were five stars. They also have a Texas margarita that was very good also. If you try el Chapala, try the Chile Colorado and top shelf margarita made with Don Julio tequila.

Visited with my wife on a Thursday. Arrived at 11am. The place was hopping. Food coming out of if the kitchen every few minutes. Sat down and the chips and salsa almost beat us to our table. I ordered the lunch Speedy Gonzalez with beef and the wife ordered the Taco Salad with chicken. Both were excellent. The enchilada sauce was so good that I asked for more. Everything was excellent. The service, friendliness food, everything. Highly recommend it.
