I’ve only eaten at Tops once before a few years ago. Crazy thing is, I lived off Jackson and Dunlap for over 20 years and never went to this location before now!! ♀️With that being said, I will be back more often, because the #7 (1/4 Cheeseburger combo) is delicious! (You must wear a mask for service.)

I ordered takeout at the Tops Barbeque located at Jackson and Cleveland Avenues in Memphis, TN. The lady at the takeout window was very nice and the tea was good. That is the only nice comment I have. I spent $46 on two rib plate dinners, never again. I should have checked inside the containers before I left (foolish me). On both plates the ribs were dry, crispy and burnt (see pictures). It was really inedible. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

I eat bbq about 4 days a week but this time I got a Sampler and I tell you the ribs was really tender and the pork shoulder was chopped not shredded and it was delicious. The brisket my son ate so I didn’t try it only because it was shredded and I performed sliced.

The food is all ways trash the workers are hater the assistant manager has the big manager scared to hire new good workers that are ready to work made me go threw the hole interview process told me I got the job then tell me I’m not eligible for rehire when I’ve never ever in my life worked for tops lol but it’s cool cause now I’m and assistant manager for the family dollars right next to them making more then what they offered me lol god don’t like ugly this tops is ridiculous

Like most fast food restaurants in the Memphis area it’s a hit or a miss on there quality of staff and this restaurant represents what I mean I day great food and awful service or vice-versa. Attention restaurants owner you get what you pay for, pay your staff better to get better employees.

Store manager very rude!! Started off by telling me I couldn’t park somewhere where there are no signs posted. Started pointing and talking to me crazy like I’m some child. Very rude wouldn’t give me any info on her boss. On top of that no one was wearing a hair net!! Nasty. Will NEVER go back here!!! Needs new management badly wouldn’t have gave a one star if possible. Weekend Manager is something else. Went in Sunday and I placed my order, six more people came in behind me and placed their order and was serve and gone before my order was ready. So I asked for my money back. Sad customers have to endure such service.
