Food was horrible. I ordered salmon sliders expecting a small piece of salmon; however, I received 2 “salmon nuggets” on a bun?? The “cheese” fries was so mushy I could have eaten them as mashed potatoes and cheese tasted like someone poured milk on the fried. The best thing about my meal was the bun. My stomach literally started hurting like an hour after eating.

The food here is amazing! It’s always fresh and of good quality. with every bite you can tell it was made with love. every visit I always get something different and I must say they never disappoint. My order always comes out fast and the atmosphere feels like Sunday dinner with the family. 10/10 always recommend

Went on Saturday and ordered a fried shrimp po’boy when I got home I realized it was fried chicken . I ate it anyway but it isn’t what I ordered and didn’t want to drive back. Since I live almost in Willow Grove. Sunday I ordered the fried chicken platter the chicken was cool there were plenty of the sides. My fish was over cooked. I’d go back for a po’boy but check my order before I go. The people I interacted with were very nice.

Very great customer service. However, Cheese steaks are not that good and it’s only because it’s too much going on. Not seasoned, instead of the home made cheese sauce offer regular American sliced cheese or Cooper sharp. Please lose the garlic buttery roll for the cheese steaks, or at least give customers the option to not get it. It does not pair well at all with the steak. And to top it off I would find a better roll to uphold your cheese steaks and Po boys. It’s hard to enjoy when it’s falling apart. The shrimp Po boys are amazing btw! Hope you guys considerate these suggestions.

The food Disgusting. $70 for 3 platters of Saturated Grease, not too mention a Fried Chicken Platter now consists of 8 Hairy Larger than Life Wing Pieces. One should be advised when ordering fried chicken that the pieces are all wings. The Fish was greasy, the chicken was dark (old grease) definitely not cooked hard. The Greens bland packed with STEMS, Mac n Cheese no depth, not a candied yam, nor sweet potato in the container, potato salad was mush like an oatmeal consistency. My point the look of the establishment is better, but the quality of food DEPLORABLE Patronize at your own risk! I hope the BURNING of customers is worth whatever your END GOAL is GILBEN’S!

I cater this place because its a black business. My first time going I ordered fried whiting and a meatloaf platter. The whiting was fried till it was a brick, the meatloaf has a great texture but the gravy is entirely to salty. Mac and Cheese had a vinegar taste but I guess enough people complained , and they changed it more recently. The potato salad used to be good, last order I had the potatoes were rocks not fork tender.

Great food, great service and great quantity of food. I had turkey necks in gravy over rice, cabbage and mashed potatoes. The Turkey necks were tender and delicious. Reminded me of my Nana cooking.

Food has fallen way off here. Recently got a salad that had old wilted lettuce and under-cooked shrimp. There’s always an attitude with the staff, so unfortunate how we treat our own.

Would have loved to try the desserts since they had great reviews but the service was so bad that I left. I stood in the bakery waiting for someone to take my order. A young lady was sitting in the waiting area with us talking on speakerphone. Assuming she was a customer waiting for her order, we waited too. After 5 or so mins, we left. Turned out she was an employee
