Customer service was good even though the cook came from back to take our food and drink order. The young man wanted to take our order but was too young to pour drinks. Scallops so gritty I couldn’t eat them. Porkchops not smothered but gravy poured over. The only time a lady behind the counter that was busy entertaining 3 other ladies spoke to us was when we got to the door and had actually thought he had paid for the 2 drinks on the food bill..the most silly part is when she yelled ma’am you didn’t pay for the drinks instead of saying it to my husband that had paid the bill. We are new in town and stopped there to eat and come back later to visit the upstairs area for drinks . Never will go back

A coworker and I decided to eat lunch here because it was suggested by another coworker and given rave reviews. I was underwhelmed to say the least food was ok but I was expecting it to be great according to my coworker lol. I got the trout dinner with mac&cheese and collards. The fish was seasoned and fried well like I like it but the collards were way too greasy to enjoy and the mac & cheese was bland.

I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Lillie Mae’s Kitchen cuisine at both their first location and their current location in Downtown Rocky Mount & both experiences were a treat to my taste buds and the warm & fuzzy feeling of being home. Reason I give this two stars. They don’t have prices on some of the food items and u can’t order sides like Mac n cheese by itself. Also they don’t serve big turkey wings only small ones and they don’t remove old items they no longer have off the menu. The drinks are not listed on the menu. If u want the 2pc dark meat they don’t have it instead wings!

I wish I could add more stars! The vibe for after hours was everything I’ve been looking for in this area! The customer service was perfect, food was great the music was exactly what I needed! It wasn’t the new school stuff that I knew nothing about it was the laid back old-school vibe that made me want to stay longer. I felt safe there and wanted to eat and drink. Because I was with friends who wouldn’t let me see the bill I have no clue about the price but we all can’t wait to go back. Doesn’t matter how much it cost when the environment makes you feel safe in rocky mount! I already knew the food was good and the people are great! So if you’re looking for a bar that serves food and good music R&B music it’s worth a try. They do value the customers they will check on you to make sure you’re ok! I almost hate to write this review because I want to be selfish and keep it from overcrowding but they deserve the business and people deserve to know about the wonderful experience that I had. I hope they also enjoy they wonderful customer service and great food that I had!

I use to visit the food truck very often. It was always good food in a timely manner. This was my first time going to the restaurant. I ordered the fish & shrimp combo. I got back to work & was disappointed. The shrimp was baby shrimp size, the fish was fried in what it looked like old grease & the collards were very salty. The only thing good was the slaw. For $18 I was disappointed & this was one of my favorite places. Everyone inside was friendly but my food was not good.

I tried Lille Mae’s for the first time and it was great. I had the fish and shrimp combo, mac & cheese. Everything was fresh and tasted great except for the Mac & cheese. It was not cheesy or flavorful & pretty much tasted like plain noodles. It could have just been an off day. I may give it another try. The dining area and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere is warm & comfortable. I plan to return soon.
