Was excited to have snow crab legs on a buffet, drove past my local 2 usual spots in Arlington to try this one. Sadly, was disappointed. In the 2 hours we were there, only saw crab legs brought out once. People were standing around the empty pan waiting, then sitting back down empty handed. The crab legs didn’t come until 30+ minutes into our meal, and they were water-logged and small.

The food here is not bad, it’s a buffet so it is buffet atmosphere. Plenty of options and my family loved (past tense) this place. It took a trip to the bathroom to gross me out and I will NEVER take my family to eat here again. My husband is in the men’s restroom, and hears a lot of back and forth talking between two people. Both people are employed at the buffet. Then he hears something fall to the floor in the stall next to him, looks to find out what the noise is and sees that a serving utensil has hit the floor next to the toilet. A server or cook was in the toilet with this tool in his back pocket and I am sure he would have returned to continue using it had it not hit the floor in the presence of a customer. Yuck Yuck Yuck. BYPASS THIS PLACE, or risk eating from objects that have been on the bathroom floor.

I guess Chinese buffets aren’t like they used to be. Went here for a family occasion. Pretty awful. 2 stars because with the price I can understand why one would come here. The sushi was awful in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if I get food poisoning. The service was very slow. A couple members stepped outside for a smoke and the waitresses yelled at us for like 10 minutes saying they were trying to get out of paying despite us repeatedly explaining they were just smoking a cigarette. Kept trying to shove the check at us while we were still eating. Anything with meat in it was very overcooked and old. For $15 I’d honestly rather just get fast food.

It is so bright and loud in here, like a club at 2 am when the lights turn on and you have to leave. The ambiance is just terrible. The service was okay. We waited a bit when we walked in before somebody seated us and we had to wait a while for a check. They don’t serve Coke products. The food is mediocre, there is nothing terrible to note about it but it’s just a lot of average foods that don’t taste great after your first round. Everything was warm but also coated in a layer of grease and maybe that’s your thing but I didn’t enjoy it. We regret going.

The introduction into the buffet was very well handled for our group of 6. As we started to pick out at the buffet, I started to notice how many of the labels were not matching to the foods there were. On the subject of food, I encountered three minor inconveniences; 1. Two of our lemonade drinks had either bit too much of lemonade-flavor or it had too much sugar, resulting in a sour taste. In the end, we asked the kind staff and they replaced it with Pepsi. 2. After that issue, I sort of lost my appetite so I went for ice cream and jello. Ironically, they both had their problems too. Some of the jelly had a hard-soft shell around it which would make it feel like I’m chewing gum (with no flavor) 3. The ice cream felt like it was just made from a slushy type of substance, so the ice cream would have a watery taste, not to mention the machine it was served from, which had a lot of stains around, making the handles all sticky. In the end however, Asian King Buffet has a lot of potential and great customer service. There are many ways they can improve, and maybe they should start on how the food is prepared.
