I was interested by this joint’s symbol of quality in there food so decided to give it a try. I entered the shop with a few other groups ahead of me. It must have been 15 minutes before I decided they were talking too long to make a single sandwich for the same person that was ordering 15 minutes ago when I first entered the store. To this day I still have never experienced their sandwiches. Instead i bought some premade ones from Safeway nextdoor

Whoa!! Better watch your transaction carefully! Was only customer in store at time and ordered one sandwich only. Gave the man $20 and he tried to shortchange me $10. When I pointed it out to him, he said “Sorry, I forgot”. His tone was not sincere and I believe his action was intentional. Can’t stand crooked vendors!!

Man! This place went downhill since I last visited. I lived in Truckee many moons ago and this was my go- to spot for a quick sandwich. Well, this previous visit made it my last. I ordered a pastrami sandwich. The quality of meat they use was horrible. It was actually disgusting! In addition, the guy preparing my sandwich asked if I wanted salt, pepper and oregano, I said sure! Well, he dumped so much of it that all I could taste was oregano on the bread. To top that off, he wasn’t very friendly. Both my dad and I agreed we would never come back. What a disappointment. Going back to good o’l faithful, Wild cherries !

We were visiting family & there was a major heat wave in Truckee. Port Of Subs was a delicious option for us to grab subs & eat along the river. The staff was very friendly, even though their store was non-stop due to the heat. My daughter has an allergy & they were very accommodating. Surprisingly the service was extremely fast, and the subs were really good ! We will definitely come back to this store!!

I have gone to get a sandwich there 3 or 4 times in the past month. Sometimes around 10am, today it was almost 2pm. The place was closed. The one time I went when it was opened there was 6 groups in line and 1 person making sandwiches. Never gonna try and go back to this location again.
