TLDR: That combo banh-mi sandwich is on point but that Viet coffee was whack (too sweet and too bitter)

Food doesn’t take a long time. Lots of seating inside and outside. Friendly staff!

Ordered the “Five Spice Chicken” sandwich for $14. It was so flavorless…I’m not sure what it would have tasted like if it only had one spice.

We sat outside and were very comfortable. They kindly brought our sandwiches out to us. The smoky eggplant sandwich with red curry mayo was wonderful– crispy outside/ soft inside bread, tender flavorful eggplant, and crisp, fresh veggies. My companion thought the pork belly sandwich was great– not too rich, just satisfying. Nice that they gave us Sriracha sauce packets so we could customize heat.

I ordered a vermicelli with eggroll and beef. The eggroll was expired and rotten and stank. The rest of the food was fine. When i went to tell the cashier that the eggrolls were rotten she did not believe me and argued with me instead of tasting one of them like i asked. I will not return and i warn others to stay away.

Amazing – I always look for something a little different and Bun Mee hit the spot. We got a bowl (wife has gluten allergy), I got the 5 spice chicken sandwich and we shared an order of the spring rolls and an order of the garlic pepper fries. Everything was great, but the fries were amazing – literally the best fries I have ever had. It wasn’t busy, but you could tell they did a good takeout business with delivery people popping in every few minutes. The interior was clean, including the bathrooms which were spotless. The staff was very attentive and friendly – highly recommend!

Came here on a hot day and enjoyed sitting outside and having a refreshing and nutritious Five Spice chicken Salad $9.75, a Kale Mango Coconut side salad $3.99, and a Beef with peanut sauce and veggies rice bowl. Delicious and great value!

I had tried the Bun Mee location at terminal 3 at SFO a few times when I am transfer flights. I’m always happy I stop by to get one of their delicious sandwiches. During a recent visit to San Francisco, I had to try the store on Fillmore Street. I stopped in one of my last nights there and ordered the five spice chicken banh mi sandwich and an order of sweet potato fries. The sandwich with a soft interior and crunchy exterior was so delicious! The grilled five spice chicken “Bun Mee” sandwich comes with caramel mayo, shaved onion, pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber, jalapeños and cilantro. Really a wonderful meal. The sweet potato fries were also cooked to perfection and a great accompaniment! The fries served with a curry mayo dipping sauce are very tasty!
