So we stopped in from out of town, and was looking for some good tacos. We found ourselves at The Chicago Taco shop. When we walked in we were greeted with a genuine smile from the cashier. We ordered the chicken floutas and steak tacos, fries and rice as sides. Being completely honest, the food was good, but lacked the flavor that we desired. Nonetheless we still left full and happy. Great customer service, great atmosphere.

I’ve been meaning to come here for a while. So glad we were able to stop in. Ordered the Windy City fries, al pastor tacos, tacos de asada, and an horchata. Everything was delicious. They pile on the meats to the tacos and fries. Everything is well seasoned. The fries are piled high with your choice of meat, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

Small storefront restaurant and the food was awesome even my toddlers liked it so much I had to order twice. The Steak and Chicken Tacos were really good. Both were well-seasoned and the toppings were fresh. We also had a Steak Buritto that was very good but a little on the smaller size. They have 3 great sauces to choose from but the best is the creamy green sauce. If you’re in the area check them out. Great food and friendly service!!!!

I had just checked into my hotel and just wanted something quick to eat and found this place on Yelp. I drove down and walked into this little shop. It was very quaint with four booths and just a couple of tables. You walk up and place your order and they’ll call your number when it’s ready. Everything seems to be fresh and they work fairly quickly. The gentleman who took care of me was pleasant and helpful as I had never been there before. He advised me that their most popular order was their Dorado tacos or their Windy City fries. As I really shouldn’t be eating potatoes I chose the tacos. I ordered the dorados combo which said it came with Three tacos and a consomme with grilled onions, onion and cilantro. They end up being a type of birra taco but nothing like any I’ve ever had before. There is a very large bowl of consomme which is nice but it’s way more than you need. The tacos had a bit of a crunch as well as an excellent chew. They also have a couple of choices of hot sauce you can put on. It was quite a good meal even if the taste was not what I expected. I actually enjoy expanding my horizons and trying different flavors so I was definitely satisfied at the end of my meal. I wouldn’t mind going back and trying some of their other choices.

Food was meh… I ordered 3 tacos and a torta and the meat was very fatty and just overall greasy. The breaded chicken was flattened so thin u barely tasted it in the thick bread. But the loaded potato with carnitas was good and they had good music playing in the restaurant.

Bummer to say this was one of my favorite spots for lunch. Just had the steak burrito and tongue tacos. Sadly, their food completely bland. No seasoning, tasteless, messy, and took 30 minutes to get my food. Tried to give it a chance over and over again, but this time, I gave up and decided to give my review. Planned to do the taco tray to celebrate the upcoming 5 de mayo at work but now I feel discouraged with the taste they have now. To top it off, as I was waiting for my food, I saw customers come in, and before their order, the guy told them it would be about a 20-30 minute wait. He was clearly honest, but people come here for their 1 hour lunch, so they just walk out. I believe they can improve their time and improve the quality of their food. Unsure when I will be back again……

This place is FANTASTIC! I ate there for the first time on Sunday 8/1 and between myself and family members we had the tacos dorados, steak nacho, loaded fries with guacamole, Sour cream and steak, and a steak burrito,..everything was FYE! I even went back the next day. Oh, don’t worry the sauce is EVERYTHING (red and green)

Food is decent. Usually order the 20 taco tray and comes out to be around $50 after tax. Not bad. Decided to add cheese and total jumped to $72.72. So what you are saying is I have to pay over $22 for 1/2 of a $5 bag of cheese? I get everyone has to make a profit, but that is crazy. Sadly I will not be ordering from here again.
