We came here for our 5 year anniversary. Great food. We both got steaks. The steaks were both incredible! I would give the main courses a 5 star and the sides a 4, they were still good. Their service was incredible! Always had someone making sure everything was as good as we expected it to be. And the dessert was fantastic. Would definitely come back.

I hardly ever write reviews and this was the first time dining here. The dinner started with our waiter not telling us all of specials, no big deal but heard him talking to the other tables explaining what they were. Salad (Caesar) brought out, left on the table with no words from the runner, no salt and pepper on the table and the waiter did not offer any fresh ground pepper. ( again not a big deal but customer service is somewhat important) I did notice the same waiter at the other tables around us offering and grinding pepper for salads and soups. My steak, NY strip ordered medium rare was overdone. The porterhouse ordered medium rare was cooked perfectly. Both steaks were flavorless, the melted butter was good but the steaks were just “bla”. The lobster Mac and cheese was watery but the potatoes were very good. At desert, asked for coffee and was told there was none. Desert food was desert food, not bad. All together for 2 people and a $300 bill ( 2 drinks included) it was worth the try but I do not believe I will be back.

I went to Hyde Park for a special occasion. Of Course, it’s designed for that. I think we got the new server on their first day after training. It was a Tuesday so it wasn’t busy at all. I think we also got the grill chef on their first day too. Neither of the steaks came out the way they were ordered. Apps came out over cooked as well. They brought in a special closer server to help with whatever was happening that night. In the end all was well enough, and the guest of honor was fairly satisfied. Everyone should check it out. You can just go for yourself!

We had our anniversary dinner here and everything was fantastic. Great service, they really made our meal special. The food was incredible. The boutique dining experience of the Japanese Wagyu A5 is hard to beat. Hyde park never disappoints.

I had been here before and had a regular prime striploin. It was perfectly decent – tasty and cooked nicely. I would have given them 4 stars based on that. However, I just went back there last week and had the 22 oz dry-aged porterhouse. To get to the point, it was freaking awesome – 100% absolutely 5 stars! The manager actually came by while I was eating to make sure everything was ok and I appreciate the gesture but I told him I didn’t want to talk – I was too busy enjoying the steak. I hope I didn’t offend him…

The waitress was a little informal for such a nice restaurant. However, you get a Hallmark-style card celebrating your event (if you go on a special occasion). The appetizer was great. Drinks were decadent and the presentations were spot on. Steaks were delicious. I highly recommend the lobster mac & cheese and do NOT leave without having dessert!!

Wonderful service. Great food. My steak was underdone and they fixed it immediately. It was perfect after another round in the kitchen. French Onion soup was really good. Chilean Sea Bass was enjoyed by my companion. We enjoyed dinner in a clean, upscale restaurant. Will definitely go back next time I visit Pittsburgh.

Our server was excellent!!! Peter was attentive, fun to talk to, and made GREAT recommendations! Definitely ask for him, he will treat you wonderfully. The steaks were cooked perfectly, nice sear on outside and tender inside, and a good quality and flavor. The desserts were rich, the sides were a good portion and cooked perfect. We had a great time!! Definitely worth it fir your birthday, anniversary or holiday dinner!!

My husband and I heard great things about this restaurant. We were in Pittsburgh this past weekend for a Pirates game and went to try it for ourselves. The steaks were the best we have ever eaten. The service was top notch. Their desserts are drool-inducing; beware when ordering their cake – the portions are huge and more than enough enough for at least 3 people. We had an amazing chef’s kiss meal! We don’t get to the area much, but this will be a definite stop when we do. Highly recommend!
