First the good. The mac and cheese and greens were decent. However, here’s the bad. The rib tips were dry and overcooked with no flavor. The chicken was also extremely dry. For the price I paid I was very very disappointed. I was so looking forward to some barbecue, but unfortunately I feel I’m going to have to look outside of Lafayette for now on. The sauce was also underwhelming. Won’t be visiting them again

I used to LOVE this place. It has gone WAY downhill. I will say that the food does taste good. Not great like it used to. You can hardly ever get brisket. The place STINKS. It literally smells like the bathroom and the bathrooms are filthy. The whole place is filthy. I feel like COVID really messed this place up. This place used to be hoping. Now it’s empty. Go to City BBQ.

Went on a Saturday at noon and the service was great. Food came out quick and got a table no problem. St. Louis Ribs were delicious and the bbq sauces were great that I had (Sweet & Tangy and Spicy). Overall, a great experience and would be happy to come back again when I’m in the area on a trip.

I just had the worst meal I think I’ve ever had and a barbecue place I got the rib tip and chicken dinner with baked beans mac and cheese and corn bread the meat was hard as could be what was on the rib tips and you could not eat it and they must have found the boneless chicken on Earth and there’s sauces or not that great this place used to be really good but out of a 1 out of 10 scale I would give it a negative 500 right now what a horrible horrible food experience. The only thing worse than the food was the saps attitude that didn’t give a s*** about anyting definitely recommend never going to this place.

People recommended this BBQ joint to us. It’s kinda a hole in the wall and that’s a good thing. The brisket that I had was really, really good, but the sides were a little bland (Mac n Cheese and Greens). My friend loved the ribs. I would eat here again.

Excellent sausage and brisket. Some of the best bbq in town. The Carolina Sandwich is one of my favorites!

This place used to be great. Over the past few years the prices have skyrocketed, the service has plummeted, and the quality has become less than expected. For 2 people to eat the cheapest sandwich on the menu expect to spend $24 with no drinks included for a mediocre pulled pork sandwich. Such a shame because I used to love this place.

Brisket was tender and delicious. The sides were all well prepared and tasty. A nice selection of sauces with Sweet and Tangy was my favorite.

I’ve been here a number of times over the years and I just can’t wrap my head around it. They obviously pride themselves in their meat production, because it’s delicious. What I don’t understand is why everything else is so haphazard and given little thought. We came in for “dinner” at about 6pm on Saturday. No one in the place. They were out of a couple items so we ordered 8 oz Brisket, 2 sides and a drink. Tiny plastic sides dishes, hand written notes on the drink machine that a flavor was out, Sauce bottles dirty and unorganized, many dirty tables, floor filthy, and the guy taking the order was pretty unconcerned with whether we were there or not. Clearly it was an hour before close and they had just checked out way before that. The thing is the prices are not low. This is not a discount BBQ place. It’s good food at a high price in a rundown environment. I just don’t get it. Probably won’t be back after this visit. There are just too many better choices for a meal in Lafayette.

I got the pulled pork and it was less than average. They put something in it and had no bark?? Coleslaw and chili was less than average as well. However, the staff was nice and the atmosphere was pretty cool. I like to support the little guy but doubt I’d return. If they can’t nail pulled pork I doubt the ribs or brisket are any better. I know it’s in a college town but the prices are pretty expensive for what you get!
