They pride themselves in daily freshly caught fish, they have several poke flavours to choose from. The poke nachos were a bit heavy, my partner thought the crisps were thick and taste more like a deep fried wonton wrappers. But I enjoyed them. Other than that, a good place to stop for lunch.

This place was great for a quick bite to eat and was super delicious! I came here for lunch after doing the Captain Cook Trail Hike. I was shocked to know they had gluten free options for their poke. In the picture, I got their poke bowl with rice with their seasoning, kimchi, and one of their spicy Ahi tuna choices. Then, I also got their poi (photo included). They had both a taro and water only version and taro, sweet potato, and water one – I got the sweet potato taro poi (gluten-free). The poke bowl was super flavorful and the combination of flavors with the kimchi and the tuna went great together. The person working there who assisted us with our order was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable in her recommendations and in food allergens. The poi did not have much flavor, but it is just taro, sweet potato, and water. It was almost like a porridge in texture and consistency, though it still was alright! I feel like it is more of a personal preference on whether you will like poi. If you are visiting Hawaii, you should definitely try a poke bowl with Ahi tuna and poi. Big yum!

I ate at five different poke places on the island and this was my favorite. Recommended to me by local working at the Portland airport, it was not a let down. First off, the staff was very friendly. On my repeat visit the electricity had died so the rice wasn’t ready and the woman working was super apologetic and nice and steered me towards the poke nachos which were phenomenal. The fish is super fresh and some of the freshest I had on the island when it comes to poke. Really good sides and I was surprised how much I liked the kimchi cucumbe. I heard the Mac salad was great but I didn’t try it as I was trying to avoid too much of a carb overload. Highly recommend the ocean salad and the shoyu ahi. Wish the spicy was a tad spicier. Definitely get the nachos if you haven’t had them before. Can’t wait to go back.

Yasssss! Excellent tasting, small, clean shop right off the road. Very friendly service! I liked that i was able to sample taste the poke and the bowl came with warm rice. Not crowded with a great view.

Awesome poke place. Fish was fresh and top quality as you’d expect from any good poke restaurant. Good selection of sweet, spicy, and traditional poke options and sides. They also sell ahi, mahi and ono filets. The poke nachos are their unique offering with your choice of poke and wontons. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

Best poke I’ve ever had! Local caught fish. Fresh and delicious. Next time I’m on the big island I’ll definitely be stopping in.

Meh. Skip it. We got the spicy poke nachos and it wasn’t good. Almost as much tomato as fish. Also isn’t spicy. The cucumbers are okay.

Fresh poke and delightful food! This small shop is a great place to stop in and grab a great size plate serving up fresh fish with complementary flavor profiles. We ordered the poke nachos with the Hawaiian Poke and a Plate with Shoyu and Hurricane Poke. Both dishes were very filling and the portions were spot on with the prices. The kimchi cucumbers and seaweed salad were tastefully done – fresh ingredients with jam packed flavor of the island.

I really wanted to like this place. 4.8 stars on Google reviews. Six different types of poke made up and ready to go. But my first turn off was seeing the ice-cream type scoop lying in one of the containers of fish. Not just the scoop. Everything…handle and all. Needless to say, I didn’t try that one. I also liked the fact that they offer several types of sides that can be added to your bowl. And once, served, you’ll find a generous portion of fish. But i found the flavors only mildly interesting and had the lingering image of that scoop sitting in my mind. Hopefully you’ll have a better experience.

OK food establishment. Thought the price was too high ($18.99 for 2 protein plate) for the quality. Some options were out of stock even though it was only 4pm and they close after 6pm. Also, there was no restroom available.
