Not what I expected from the high ratings/reviews. Is Korean food supposed to be extremely sweet??? I was burping garlic all night after eating here! Yuck! The pot stickers were delicious but the bulgogi for two was CANDY….. not coming here again.

This location is very nostalgic for me. 30 years ago it was Sub Concious and it became my go-to sandwich shop. They’ve been gone for years now. But then Ssam Bar opened in the same spot.

If you want to try something new this is the place! This was our 3rd time eating here, everything we order is delicious and full of flavor. Their menu includes a large variety of Bulgolgi as well as vegetarian options. They have the best home made kimchi in Sarasota. The staff is incredibly sweet, always ready to help.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING i do not live here actually i live like 3 hrs from here and i am so glad we stopped. best korean food i have ever had they had everything i needed. the side dishes/ pickles were also so fresh and tasty!! the waiter was so kind and pleasing to talk to
