BBQ is average quality….nothing to write home about. Prices are high. Being a diabetic, I ordered a sandwich minus the bun. No cut on the price was offered and I was served the equivalent on a spoonful of meat for $10! At this rate, they’re making about $700 per pork shoulder! I am not interested in funding anyone’s retirement program by buying mediocre BBQ…..

For $12 , I was expecting a bit more than four small slices of brisket on a tiny bun. Got the potato salad for $2, in a small container. I love potato salad, but not this one. Potatoes weren’t cooked all the way and taste was bland. BBQ sauce tasted off the shelf. To pay good money for BBQ, was expecting a little more originality.

Fantastic BBQ! No messy sauce needed! Meat is perfectly smoked and falls off the bone! Love the big hearty portions served here. Fast and friendly service with great prices. A must stop in Delta Jct., Alaska! FYI-the 2 negative reviews were people paid to post them from the competition, complete lies written.

We love AlaskaTraincar BBQ! We have autoimmune disease and very strict dietary restrictions and they had were so helpful in helping us figure out what we could eat. The best part of it all was that it was amazing food that everyone in the family loved and keeps asking for over and over again! That doesn’t always happen with our restrictions and especially not in this small town.

James Wood….your assessment is dead on and in line with all the reviews on Facebook. I found the offerings to be generous in size for the money, and exceptionally tasty. The meat falls off the bone and is bursting with smokey mesquite flavor. I think they’re doing a great job and the menu is a welcome addition to the offerings in Delta Junction-for the summer.

Terrible bbq and this is coming from a local. The pulled pork and brisket sandwich are just ok, served on a regular sized IGA bun and are $12 a piece!!!! The beans taste like they came from a can of VanCamps pork and beans which they added onions and bacon to. Corn bread was small and basic and finally the coleslaw was bland as water…Did i mention everything is a la carte, it was $34 for two meals with two sides, corn bread and water..why do people think anyone can run a restaurant. This will be yet another failed food joint in Delta Junction but don’t take my word for it go and try them yourself. WAY OVERPRICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
