I love pimento cheese, and this ranks better than my grandmother’s, and that’s saying something. We also loved the Short Rib Flatbread, the Cobb Salad, and the Southwest Salad with Shrimp. But by far the best entree was the Braised Short Rib. The brussel sprouts were cooked just right: a bit crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside; the short rib melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, there was a table of children seated near us who did what children do when their parents are at another table.

It’s a hit or miss. The fish curry was good, the deviled eggs was unremarkable. I’ve had really good dishes in the past though. It is just not consistent as one would expect at a fine dining place.

My husband and I came on a Saturday night with another couple. We made reservations on the Open Table app. We were seated immediately. We enjoyed the charcuterie board for an app. It was a nice size. We also got the fall salad and gumbo. Both were delicious. The drinks here are the best downtown. We love the ambiance. We will definitely be back.

Daniel, our server, was just delightful and i would definitely ask for her next time i go! The bartender made me a drink that is one of my favorites (even though it wasn’t one they’d ever heard of) and I really appreciated that! The short ribs and NY Strip were delicious! The carrot cake isn’t what I was used to. I liked the carrot creme filling, but there was a spice in the “cake” that I wasn’t fond of, but others might enjoy. I would definitely go again!

Decided this restaurant for our 40th Anniversary dinner (ate lunch there multiple times!). Place was full and noisy. Dinner prices were $$, so opted for just soup (husband loves their Gumbo). I ordered the Soup of the Day, but misunderstood the waitress. Thought it was Chicken tortellini. A small “bowl” of a Spicy Corn soup arrived. Mostly a tomato broth with maybe a tablespoon of chicken and corn in it. Boring and too spicy. No bread or even crackers offered with soup. The wine we ordered was out, so my husband just got a mixed drink.

Finally discovered this true culinary marvel in Central Arkansas, and at a hotel no less. I enjoyed the braised rib tip, mashed potatoes, and carrots. I had perhaps the best gumbo north of Louisiana. You could really tell that the ingredients were of quality. I also enjoyed the passionfruit iced tea. This is the South, so it would have been a nice touch if they offered a sweetened version or even a lemonade. The waitress offered stellar service, although you could tell that they were short staffed. I had the opportunity to speak with the chef to praise him on the great food.

It may have just been a salad, but wowza! Phenomenal. And the service was right on the money. Just when I thought I was going to need help they had already taken care of me. Random side note: check out the massive elevators in the hotel and ask them why. The story is fascinating.
