Just tried this restaurant with my mom for the first time and every bite was delicious! We both got the lunch special, which is 1 meat, rice, and 1 side, but they can make just about anything else for you as long as you’re willing to wait. The lunch special was flavor HEAVEN. The yucca was perfectly buttery and garlicky, the chicken was malt and bursting with flavor. And the portions were massive! Had enough for a sizable dinner as leftovers. And if nothing else, you gotta get the pastries. We got the guava pastry and Bavarian crepe pastry and they were both excellent. Please support this amazing business!

I would say that the quality of the food is at original taste. Wonderful quantity most of the time you get extra for second meal .They have not been a plate that I’ve tasted that I didn’t enjoy them meat that always season on point wonderfully well never salty there is never a plate that’s not incredibly good just walking in to the business as you can tell you’re gonna have a delicious meal cause the smell is wonderful . I would recommend, but everything is a great choice , the Mofongo with Camarones and TriFongo with camarones my choice!!!!!for a wonderful meal away from Puerto Rico

Not from The area but to find a PR restaurant outside of base is rare find. Didn’t realize they were about to close but I came in for take out and they still prepped me food the arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) and pernil (pulled pork shoulder) were on point! Close to mother’s cooking definitely will be back!

Everything was just like home, Puerto Rico. Fried pork was crispy on the outside and tender/moist on the inside. The mofongo, perfect. All in all, Excellent!

Really wanted to like this place but gosh the food was just really blah. Not flavorful as you would expect. Bland and over cooked. The pastries were amazing. But rest was lackluster. Bummer.

I usually go to this place but after today not anymore. My wife and I ordered the Tropical smoothie which only contains as written pineapple, papaya, coconut and mango. It took over 15 minutes for them to make it. We then received the smoothies and my wife took a sip and immediately started having an allergic reaction. They put strawberries in there ( My wife is allergic to berries.) Which was not listed on ANY of the ingredients. I asked them why they didn’t list it or tell me they were going to add any extra ingredients. They said because their new mix had strawberries instead of coconut. The female employee/owner just shrugged off what I had to say and left. I ended up having to take my wife to the ER because of her allergic reaction. Poor costumer service. Don’t go here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at “Don’t Stay Hungry,” the Puerto Rican restaurant located in Daleville, Alabama, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Got myself the chicken stew, white rice, beans & sweet plantains. Super delicious, good portions too! The kind of meal that you don’t want to put your fork down 10/10 would recommend!
