What a great place. Went in this evening the fried fish is awesome. I had a grilled chicken salad and of course the rhubarb pie was out of this world. Got a steak sandwich to go and my husband loved it. Will be back

Delicious food especially when you get the Fried Fish Dinner on Friday! The prices are fair and the service is top notch. The sides are generous and you will be leaving full.

My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant weekly. Now that he is in a nursing home I still go every chance I get. “Mom” makes the best homemade pies anywhere! Fries rival every fair in the state. You cannot find a better waitstaff anywhere! So friendly they make you feel like family. I am very particular about where I drink coffee. But I know I can always count on a good cup here. If it’s not fresh they’ll make it for ya. Only criticism is they’re not open for late night meals. You have to get those to go. Lol.

This was my second visit, during both visits I ordered the beer battered fish that included french fries and cole slaw.

Took some picky friends there and warned them that it looks like a dive, but friends were absolutely impressed with the food. (Had Reuben, fried fish, patty melt and grilled cheese, but the onion rings are the bomb.) Service at tables is always painfully slow but kind and friendly. (Sort of supports the name Chat n Chew… No one is in any real hurry for anything.) Lots of locals, but we were probably the youngest attendees and we are in our 50-60s. Prices are excellent. Portions are spot on for the price. Terrible coffee, but can’t go wrong with tea. Floor to the bathroom is almost always sticky and the decor probably hasn’t changed since 1985, but worth a stop before you hit franchise fast food down the road.

Saw the name of the restaurant – how can you pass up the opportunity to give THAT a try? Kind-of a rundown end of town…I knew I’d find good food, and the best kind of people, and I was not disappointed. The breakfast food was fantastic, well-priced, and the wait staff was friendly and down-to-earth. I’d come here every day if I could – would love to get to know these folks. Great place.

Small hole in the wall, serving basic decent food. Clean restaurant inside. Waitress friendly. Having leaf springs work, so stopped here. Nothing else but factories around here and run down apartments.

I’ve been here several times and enjoy the food here. It’s definitely an older style restaurant which I enjoy. I’ve never had any problems here and food is reasonably priced.
