This restaurant appears to be a hidden gem in downtown Baltimore. It had a promising start with live music as its main attraction. I decided to order a garden salad with shrimp, making sure they were not breaded. When my food arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful presentation of the salad with a skewer of shrimp on top. However, I immediately noticed an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of chlorine and crab. The texture of the shrimp was incredibly tough, and it had white spots all over it. Reluctantly, I removed the shrimp and tried to enjoy the salad, but the smell of the shrimp lingered and ruined the entire meal. Although I dislike sending food back, I felt compelled to mention the issue to the waiter. Surprisingly, the waiter seemed absent until closing time when they finally appeared. I explained the situation and requested that the extra charge for the uneaten shrimp be removed. The waiter offered a mere $2 discount for the uneaten salad. This experience has led me to question the overall quality and cleanliness of this particular Baltimore restaurant. If you choose to dine here, I advise exercising caution when it comes to the food, focusing instead on the bar and the live music.

Love the atmosphere at Werner’s. Great little diner in the heart of the city. Only ever had breakfast here but never been disappointed.

I went to this restaurant for a Saturday morning breakfast and I was elated. The breakfast was absolutely divine. The pancakes were fluffy, the bacon was crisp, the coffee was dark and strong, the eggs were perfectly scrambled and the french toast was warm and ravishing. I loved this breakfast. It exceeded my expectations. I went back again for round two on a Tuesday morning and it was nothing like what the Saturday breakfast was. The service was terrible (it took me forever to order, and forever to get my check) and the eggs were runny (after asking for scrambled). The pancakes were still good and so was the bacon but the coffee was so disgusting, I couldn’t take more than one sip. I was so disappointed the second time I went, especially after the experience that I had the first time. I think it’s one of those hit or miss restaurants. It’s worth a visit in the weekend but beware on the weekdays.

We stayed within walking distance from out of town. Stumbled upon Werner’s and gave it a whirl for breakfast. We were able to walk in and sit immediately, the environment definitelyhas a diner feel. Our server was nice and attentive and the place was clean. Menu for breakfast didn’t have as large of a variety as I had thought it would for it being a diner. The homfries were nice size chunks with fried onion, the ham omelet was filled with ham and cheese. It came with toast; however, being at a diner I had to try the hot cakes, it was as big as the plate. Overall the meal was most definitely filling and was good. The prices were pretty decent as well.

What a wonderful trip through the “way back when machine”. Great atmosphere, very good food, no complaints! Service was good the atmosphere reminded me of old soda shops. Highly recommended if you find yourself wondering what to have for breakfast brunch or lunch. Great choice by the family. So much better than the I hop restaurant which was the families other option.

I couldn’t begin to say the best part of my experience here at Werner’s, as I want to put everything in first place. The service was fast, friendly, and very helpful to a first time visitor. Alexis was so warm and kind, I felt immediately welcomed. The food was out in a flash, piping hot and just as I ordered… They say hunger is the best sauce but that definitely doesn’t make up for even a small portion of what made my simple breakfast selection so delicious. The folks on the grill are far beyond capable, they’re artists with their metal canvas. Everyone and everything here was beyond anything I could have hoped for when stopping in for a quick meal and I recommend everyone make time to drop in. If you’re a local, you’re bound to become a regular.

The food is delicious, affordable with ample portion sizes. Plus, its always a thrill to eat at this famous Diner spot where so many TV series were filmed like House of Cards and Homicide, Life on the Streets. I had “The Oriole” sandwich loaded with corn beef and pastrami with a side of fries and a pickle. It was delicious and filling!

I passed by the diner and saw the advertisement for burgers and shakes and said to my boyfriend before you ask I know what I want for dinner…and pointed to the diner and said a burger and shake. We went inside and the server said to sit where ever we would like. I loved the old school diner feel. The server took our order and before he left to place the order he gave us a coloring page and crayons. I thought that was cute. So we colored as we waited. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with onions rings with a chocolate shake. My boyfriend ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade..the food was delicious and it was a big helping. I couldn’t even eat all of my food so I took some to go. It was a very pleasant experience. If you are in the downtown area I definitely recommend visiting this diner.

We stopped in for a quick dinner before leaving town. The diner has a nice retro ambiance. Mason, our server, was polite and attentive without hovering. I had a Reuben, and my husband had steak and eggs with grits. Both were delicious and served in very short order. We definitely recommend that you stop in while you’re in Baltimore! Since the inner harbor area is effectively dead, just take an easy 20 minute walk north away from the inner harbor to Werner’s, and enjoy a deliciously satisfying meal!

We typically frequent this restaurant during the week. We came on a Sunday, the place was busier than normal. It took 10 minutes to get water and 25 minutes to get just one of the drinks we ordered. The Long Island was terrible and I didn’t finish it, the second drink never came. We placed our order for a chicken cheesesteak with fries and a two egg platter with sausage and a side of bacon. We waited 45 minutes for the food. The chicken cheesesteak was missing toppings asked for and had the smallest amount of chicken possible, we’ve ordered it before and this was inconsistent with previous entries and came with a very small portion of fries that cost an additional $2.49. The side of bacon didn’t come out. At this point,
