This truck is now called Reddy Dhaba and it is the only food truck that is active in that parking lot. The owner owns other food trucks as well i.e. Austin Dosa in that parking lot but they are not active. Looks like he combined the menu of all the food trucks into one and operating from this truck.

Bombay aka Reddy Dhaba is food truck in Austin downtown. After hiking at a Barton creek we were hungry and stopped at this place. We ordered Garlic naan and Paneer butter masala which tasted good however the boneless chicken biryani was disappointing. It was colored rice with bland pieces of chicken and bit overpriced.

The food was mediocre (veg Korma), Naan was fresh and best part. I’m not sure who the man was that walked our food to the table, but he has a serious attitude and an apparent problem with white/black couple. Dropped food on table, didn’t speak A WORD…yet turned around to the Indian couple and asked can I get you anything? Came back to ask other couple “how is the food, need anything?” Never said a single word to us. Wont be back.

Other people’s reviews gave me the impression that the service isn’t great and that they’re pretty rude but the food makes up for it. I went anyway for the food and wanted to decide for myself if they were nice/rude. I quickly came to the conclusion that they are indeed curt. But whatever, it doesn’t matter THAT much—what matters most is the food. At first glance the food looks great but it was lacking in flavor. I ordered roti with both garlic and cheese. It was just ok, edible. I also ordered the chicken tikka masala spicy and it came through in heat but again, not in flavor. The worst part honestly was that the chicken was super, super dry. I am pretty disappointed considering the reviews I’ve read brought me here. I love Indian food and have been craving some but unfortunately this didn’t satisfy me.

If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular. We got the chicken tikka masala. It was super creamy and had all the spices. It was a pint full of chicken tikka masala with loads of chicken breast meat. I can’t wait to try their other options.

Food & service was ok. Price was little bit on upside in comparison to other food trucks.

The food was horrible, we ordered Mysore masala dosa, plain dosa and samosa chat. The batter of dosa was nothing similar to dosa batter and the batter seems to be few days old. We are from south india and dosa is not authentic. The price is really high and is not worth for the price. You can get a better authentic samosa chat from other shops for lesser price with good taste. I will not recommend this place.
