Union City’s best kept secret. One of my favorite vegan meals in the entire bay. Here’s what you do. Order the braised taro leaf dish, head around the corner to birdhaus and order any hazy ipa from Alvarado street brewing. Eat, drink…you know the rest. You’re welcome.

Mochiko chicken was very tasty. Chicken was crispy on the outside and moist inside. Portions are large enough to share with friends. My meal came with pickled veggies, Mac salad, Cale salad, and rice. Outdoor seating was spacious and cozy. Definitely would go again and recommend to friends and family.

Very undeserving of the 5 star rating imo. Rude staff, insanely long wait times (it took over 30 minutes for an order of chilli and furikake fries), porta potties and no bathroom, high prices in conjunction with food served in takeout containers. Furikake fries was an order of regular fries with a measly drizzle of sauce but cost $7, more sauce cost extra. Quality just isn’t there.
