We wanted to get away for a night; looking on the map for just someplace different to try, we found this little….and I do mean little, diner.

Every time we are in Frankfort, we always stop at Cliffside diner! We love to catch breakfast before 11am. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming there. I highly recommend this as a fun place to stop and enjoy a meal. The food is always hot, delicious and made with love. One of my breakfast favorites is the Philly cheese steak omelet!

I hadn’t eaten here in awhile and was ready for some of the cooking I remembered. I got there kinda late but they said never mind, got my order and I was chowing down in no time flat. The people are super nice and the food was as good as it ever was – meat loaf, fried potatoes with cheese and onions and lima beans like your mama made! For classic American food, from a menu with so many great choices, you can’t do better than Cliffside!

A great place to have lunch! My friend and I both had the cheeseburger that Cliffside is known for with fried potatoes. It was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, happy and worked together well. A little gem tucked away underneath the State Capitol.

Very European feel to the atmosphere with good Ole southern cooking. We just stumbled upon it on our way to the capital

This little hidden diner tucked behind the Capitol of Kentucky has incredible burgers, cheesesteaks, hot browns , beans and cornbread and many other favorite comfort foods. Known for their delicious burgers but on this trip we had a hot brown and an open face roast beef. Taters, green beans, bean soup and corn bread. Loved every bite of it! The place is a small diner with very limited seating, some booths and counter seating. Groups over 4 might find it hard to sit together unless at the bar. The staff was friendly. Parking is right in the curb on a cliff so be very careful when pulling out. I highly recommend getting a bite there when I’m Frankfort.

My wife and I enjoy going to diners. This one was really good. It was small with only about six or seven tables and a dozen stools. The menu was standard but the food was really good and the staff were super friendly. My wife and I both had burgers that were excellent.

We were on vacation from Oklahoma and were hungry for a cheeseburger. Little did we know that this place would serve us the most delicious cheeseburger we’ve ever eaten. The cliff side burger was so perfect. Atmosphere was unique and service was awesome. I only wish I had this place back home.

Tucked into the base of a cliff under Kentucky’s state capitol building, this literal hole in the wall is an incredible experience. This is old-school diner in distilled form. The burgers are hand formed and cooked to order. I tried the Coney burger, with a chili that impressed the heck out of me.

Found out about this place after googling places to eat in Frankfort. Really great food and service. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Would def go again when we visit Frankfort! We had the Cliffside burger and chicken liver dinner platter. Both were amazing! Especially loved the tots!
