Better than expected. I had high hopes based off other reviews but was a bit disappointed with the variety when I saw the initial menu. It reminded me of a bunch of unimaginative surf and turf shops. I went with the Bison Hash and was quite happy with the choice. So overall, better than average but probably wouldn’t make it into my Billings top ten. Also quite a ways from downtown. Probably a good spot for anyone who lives within a mile where other options are particularly spartan. Average service and atmosphere for the price. Probably pricier than average for the area. Quality/price is probably closer to high three star for area.

Tucked in a shopping plaza right next to a casino… Exceptional place! Great service, very good food and a nice setting.

I typically don’t leave reviews but enjoyed my experience so much I wanted to share. I had some time to kill, sat at the bar, got the crab cakes and a beer. Thought at first it was too loud being so close to the kitchen but the chef was entertaining.

Found this place as we were on a cross country road trip and loved it. Worth the stop and slight detour to find great local food and service!

My first time at Local I was not impressed. We were there for Sunday Brunch. We waited almost an hour for food to arrive. When food finally did arrive it was cold and only half of our party of 9 recieved food. When we finally recieved the rest of our order the others who got food first were finishing up. All food was cold. One member of our party ordered eggs poached. The poached eggs were not fully cooked. The whites were still liquid and clear.

This is the second time I have tried the Local in Billings and am equally dissatisfied this time as I was the first time. I ordered a simple traditional breakfast and just like the last time I went (when my French toast was burned and flipped over so I wouldn’tnotice), this time my biscuit was burned and flipped over so I couldn’t even see that it was burned until I bit into it. I ordered my eggs over easy they were over hard. The hash browns are cooked In a deep fryer , but the BACON was great! Another point, their biscuits are advertised as “light and fluffy” which they definitely are NOT. Heavy & dense is more accurate. They served me a serving of “jam” which was probably cooked (and sadly tasted burned) in house.

This is by far our FAVORITE place to eat. From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere. I just love everything about it! I read a few reviews one about a dry burger. WHAT?! I have now gotten a burger 3 times and everytime they have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried. Also, the staff wears masks (most local places in Billings don’t) and are just amazing! We have now been multiple times and the food gets better every single time! This is a place we go to treat ourselves. We absolutely LOVE it! Sooo glad we are less than a mile away!

They greeted us as we walked in the door and asked where we would like to sit, inside or outside. We picked outside on the patio, which was very pleasant. I ordered the shrimp tacos, my partner ordered the Southwest chicken salad. The Food tasted wonderful. The bathroom was very clean. Plenty of parking too by the way.

Our first time to visit and it won’t be our last! The food was fantastic! And the quantities was large! My wife and i shared the wheat pancakes and eggs and we were both full! Thankfully we had a reservation which was a food thing for Sunday brunch. The waitress was also great!
