Me and my service dog went here for lunch. I had the bologna sandwich and my puppy got two cheese burgers. This was the best bologna sandwich I have ever had in my life, my puppies hamburger was big as hell. if I lived close by I would eat here everyday.

Absolutely fantastic place. JT has brought it so far and continues to go above and beyond. The food is fantastic and the fishing is great. By far the best pay lake in the area.

We did not eat dinner here yet but the fishing is 100% on point. I was catching Channel cat one after another on 2 rods fishing with cut bait from the bream I caught. The lake is clean and family friendly and the people were all nice. Really good for a family night out on a Friday this is my new spot

The best BBQ I’ve had in a long long time. Everything tasted phenomenal and the sauce selection was spectacular. The standouts were the peach BBQ sauce and the apple BBQ sauce. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone. 11/10

My husband and I had a business engagement in North Carolina. So, on our way, we had a taste for some good barbeque. I Google, as usual, to find a great eating spot. Well, Joe’s Lake and Restaurant popped up with a 5 stars rating. Needless to say, we were very, very disappointed. The staff was super friendly. We told them we were from out of town and looking for some great food as we traveled. My husband ordered the rib plate, and I ordered the brisket plate. His ribs were hard and burnt, you know, when you’re down to the last crumbling piece that’s been sitting there for hours, and my brisket was dry and burnt. The sides, which were Baked Beans and Coleslaw for him; cream corn and green beans for me were not good. It cost $40.00 for the both of us. It left a bad taste. Needless to say, we ended up going to Outback Steakhouse once we arrived at our destination. My opinion is that when you know your guests are from out of town, serve your BEST, to impress so you can get great reviews and referrals!

NOTHING wrong with the food or service. We were made to feel right at home on our first visit. Fast, hot, generous portions. Only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was no alcohol. Would have been great to have a cold beer with lunch. Still worth it for the barbeque and wings.

Great place to eat with family and kids, and you can fish the pond. The food is really good. My wife recommends the grilled shrimp over seasoned rice my favorite is the pulled pork plate. Will definitely be going back again and again.

I’m hopeful that it’s just because they’re starting up but I was highly disappointed spent about $50 on me and the wife we couldn’t even finish it. I love small businesses and patronizing them. These folks were super nice the atmosphere is wonderful but the food is much to be desired. I love all barbecue but this was hard to love. My wife loves everything she was also very disappointed… We will certainly try it again after they get up and running. I’m sure it will get better and I would love to change my review to a five-star. In the meantime just be aware it’s just okay at this point not very much to write home about. Lol.
