I have been coming to this place ever since I was a child. They had the best patties especially after I came from church. I went back to this restaurant after moving a few years ago and it was even better than I remembered. I recommend this Taste the Island if you wanna try Haitian food!

Oxtails aren’t consistent! One week they’re cut big and served a good portion. Next week they’re cut very skinny and given a smaller portion for the same price. If your food isn’t consistent, customers won’t return.

This is so far the best Haitian food I’ve had in NY! And the service is AMAZING! Very friendly and professional. Must check it out.

Been coming here for years and the food consistently tastes the same which I appreciate. This place has the best Fritay especially the tassot (fried goat) in Long Island, hands down! My husband and I go for it weekly because it’s so good. Other dishes are good too such as the snapper and fried turkey. Customer service is just ok not the best and I wish they would accept debit/ credit card but other than that its a good restaurant!

Food is good but what is a business with no customer service. No one at that location is friendly or helpful. They always appear as if you’re bothering them when you walk through the door. There’s not that many haitian restaurants in the area, that’s the reason I go there. I like to support my people.

I will never come back to this place again. This old man was very rude to me when I ordered my food. I left to go get change and came back to him yelling at me for not waiting for him. Seriously they have no etiquette at all. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Started off strong where their fry food was one of the best however now, the fried plantain are less cooked and the pork can be salty at times. If ever you get a good plate, in the other hand, it might be the best plate ever to eat

Came all the way from Queens to try them out because of their ratings, but I was disappointed. ‘The cornmeal with legumes was bland, and the soup had no meat in it. That was my first time there and there definitely won’t be a next time for me. These people are not restaurateurs, they are scammers. My advice: stay away if you don’t want to waste your money,
