Ocala’s ONLY 1950’s diner. Complete with all the diamond chrome walls, neon, rockabilly music, and tons of 1950’s memorabilia on the walls. Come back to the fifties.
We are proud to be an extensively a home-made restaurant.
From hand cutting and tenderizing the Country Fried Steak, to hand cutting and shredding breakfast potatoes, it’s all scratch made from the base ingredients every day. Our biscuits, and famous cinnamon rolls (one over 11” X 3”) are handmade from their base ingredients every day (never just reheated or baked from frozen as the vast majority of restaurants do today.) Same with our gravies, jams, and syrups, that’s right, handmade from their base ingredients every day.
Come see us soon!

The food was very good. Very homey feel and I’d say the best part was the service. Coffee refills magically appear with perfect timing. The bacon was nice and crispy the way I like it. The eggs were fluffy and great. I didn’t really like the potatoes so that was a bummer.

The Silver Springs Diner is a pleasant experience, with a couple of shortcomings.

They have a frequent buyer reward system. Great food, wonderful, friendly service. I didn’t offer the full five stars because I only had pancakes. It’s kind of hard to mess up pancakes covered with yummy sweet stuff. I hope to go back and try other things… See if it upgrades my review

First time here… outstanding service, cleanliness, nice open atmosphere, great food, big portions and fair pricing. The fresh county fried steak and homemade biscuit (with homemade strawberry jelly) was delicious – they even have a rewards program that actually gives you real savings. Pretty much met all of the staff, all with positive and professional demeanors. Stacy C. was our wonderful server so please ask for her. Definitely will be back again!

Loved discovering this little gem! Very homey warm and friendly place filled with regulars but even though I was a newbie they treated us like old friends. The service – great, the food was plentiful and so tasty! We tried to finish our breakfast – eggs pancakes hash browns etc – but we’re stuffed and practically had to be rolled out the door!

My neighbor had heard about a restaurant to try for a Saturday morning breakfast. I told her we would pick her up at 8 o’clock and the three of us would go in search of this new place. It was easy to find and parking was off the street. When we enter, we were greeted and quickly seated and presented menus. Each of us decided to try one of their omelet offerings. My neighbor ordered the triple cheese omelet, I ordered the western omelet, and my partner ordered the southern omelet. We ordered two coffees and a Diet Coke. We all ordered. The hash browns extra crispy. What we got were hash browns that had been burnt black. Our omelets consisted of a very runny cheese sauce from a can. We ordered the pumpernickel toast with homemade jellies. This was the very first time I have ever poured my strawberry jelly onto a piece of toast. To say the least, we were very disappointed considering our waitress, Justine K was constantly back to our table to pour more coffee. Total $38.84, tax, $2.72. And a 15% tip of $5.83. Trust me when I tell you, we won’t be returning.

Beautiful retro themed diner! Awesome employees. Jacqueline was our server for the afternoon. Her personality was just what we needed. High spirited, Beautiful smile, awesome positive energy! The customers were steady. I had the fish and chips basket and it was good. The fish was battered and fried to perfection as the fries were seasoned just right. My girl had a Rueben on pumpernickel and it was too good! This place is another Ocala gem just waiting to be explored! Hats off to the entire staff!! Awesome job!

Located on old 40 Highway in Silver Springs, Florida this place is a groovy, cool blast from the past. Done in Route 66 style you would never know it’s a recent remodel. Jackie my server was on the ball as is everyone here. Definitely worth jumping off I-75 to step back in time and dine fine with “good food done right”.

I will be returning. I say that because the review may not reflect that this place does deserve a chance. We came in day two of relaunch. We have been here on a previous relaunch and the changes they have made to the location are amazing. Their menu is too big. They do everything from scratch but your menus being this big only causes problems for the kitchen. It took around 40 minutes from the time we ordered to get food to our table. My wife’s order was incorrect and they fixed it within 5 minutes as it was just a breakfast sandwich. I believe it took so long as they were waiting on a new batch of biscuits. However without their resting time the ones I received were underdone. The food still tasted great and our coffee cups stayed full. I will give them more chances as some of the menu items are interesting.
