Awesome restaurant. As advertised has an eclectic feel, and has great food. We had the mussels, shu mai, wings (a special), a pizza, and dumplings and found everything to be excellent. Great ambiance, and service was attentive and quick

Food was great, drinks were good, service was fine. Everybody and everything was awesome until a 39% gratuity was added to my bill with an option to tip on top of that. It was a table of two. Idk not super thrilled about that part.

The food itself was pretty good, but the server was disrespectful & made me question if it was about my girl’s race or are they just rude to everyone or what ? from other reviews with similar complaints, maybe it’s not about race, but I started to wonder is my Asian girlfriend not welcome to this server or what ? They showed a severe lack of basic social respect and polite interaction, like we were their parents entering their room unannounced, I think perhaps it’s that they just had a pretentious hipster attitude, like a socially inept edgy teen, (not even exaggerating) for example, they didn’t bring up napkins (first gave us food with no chopsticks or silverware, which I asked the cook for and they were actually friendly about it, but the sever didn’t say sorry or acknowledge the no napkins, they literally tossed it on the table and walked away, if you don’t act in a respectful manner, with basic politeness, it’s going to make my girl and I wonder like does this server not like Asians or do they have poor manners or what ?

Love this place….even tho the servers give the “you’re lucky to be here” vibe. Great food. Cool music and ambiance. FYI, If there is no where to sit….it certainly isn’t “fat guy friendly.

This place always has that positive vibe that keeps Madison weird and… at the top of my list for cool cities and cool restaurants. The food is very eclectic and cool, the drinks are poppin. I’ve always had a good time at Nattspil, whether just for drinks, or for a full dinner experience. If you haven’t ventured off the main square to visit, you’re missing out.

Stopped here for a date night recently and had a great time! The food was amazing. I had the three cup chicken which was very tasty and we ordered the lamb wontons and flatbread for appetizers which were both delicious. Service was efficient and staff were friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

The self-described eclectic restaurant is accurate. The decor is a mix of eastern culture, meets Italian (check out the pizza oven), meets American. The cocktails were pretty good, and reasonably priced. Service was somewhat lackluster, although friendly. Food menu is a little small. It’s a lively atmosphere and can be somewhat loud. They do NOT accept credit cards, so bring cash.
