It was our anniversary and the sweetly went out of their way with a card and chocolate treat already at our table. The food here was delish. We had the ramen bowl and poke bowl. Plus a couple of rolls. You cannot go wrong if you are into yummy Asian inspired flavors. Don’t come here if you are picky about it.

Fat belly exceeded my expectations. Door county needed a nice sushi place and boy did we get one!! The sake selection is fantastic and the sushi was so fresh. Our server Daniel was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Thanks for a great night Fat Belly.

The best sushi and poke in Door County. We ate there last weekend and had the dumplings, tuna roll, and poke bowls. Everything was excellent – fresh fish, interesting flavors, nice presentation. Everyone was really friendly and the ambience was casual. They’re a little hard to find (off HWY 42, turnoff to Johnson’s Fun Park) and they could use better signage and some advertising. Until then, word of mouth will have to do. We’ll definitely eat there again.

Fat Belly is an outstanding option for sushi and poke in northern Door County. It’s small (charming) and has limited hours (Friday and Saturday), but it’s all done with purpose. The excellent service was surpassed only by the creative and delicious food offerings. It’s located just outside the center of Sister Bay, offering a nice, quiet alternative. Highly recommended.

I normally take a few pictures of the food, but was unable to do so. We got the side pork belly ramen, the belly wraps, as well as Rangoon, and pot stickers all dressed. They were all great, tasted exceptional, were served by the friendly staff, and even my 9yo enjoyed what she ate. All in all, I’d love to come back again and try some of the rolls.

This place hit all the items on my checklist and more. Ambiance, service, cleanliness, nice bathrooms, and of course YUMMY Food. I would give it 6 stars just for the delicious food if I could. I’ve never been here before and the place we had planned to eat at was closed. Fat Belly is a little out of the town center, but it is absolutely worth the extra 5 minutes to get to. I can’t remember when I have eaten a tastier bowl, and judging by my girlfriend’s sounds of pleasure, she was enjoying her meal as well. Just a fun place. Come and put your feedbag on and you won’t be sorry that you did.

Just ate lunch here today and it was exceptional. Food quality was top notch, and vibe was on point. Earlier reviews that stated pricing was off clearly don’t know quality ingredients, or what the market price for sushi/fresh food is.

Absolutely amazing! The Far East Chicken bowl was delicious! The perfect amount of food after spending the day hiking. The kids Mac and cheese was incredible. So creamy. I was so thankful and excited to find a filling but lighter option since so many other restaurants in the area have burgers/sandwiches and fries. Try Fat Belly. You won’t be disappointed!!!
