This is exactly what we’ve been looking for in this area! The outdoor space is pristine and welcoming, with a great view of the water but not too close (no issues with bugs, etc.). There was space for our little one to run around without bothering anyone while we waited for food. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food had fantastic and unique flavor combinations, and apparently the menu changes weekly, which is good motivation to come back often. Even the kids meal was carefully thought through and paired, with well seasoned chicken, grilled pineapples, and avocado cream sauce. The brisket tacos were so satisfying, and the light summer dessert finished the evening perfectly. It’s helpful to call and make a reservation, even with short notice, if possible. My only recommendation to management would be to have a permanent alternative side for children’s meals. Chips as the default (and $5 to sub for fries, making the cost of a kids meal essentially the same as our adult meals) doesn’t work for all ages — our toddler can’t eat those. But otherwise, we had such a wonderful dining experience, and can’t wait to come back!

Excellent dinner! We ate the steak tacos as an appetizer before I grabbed a picture. All of our entrees were delicious and the service was great. If you want a causal atmosphere with upscale food this place is perfect!

Wow! So happy we found this gem! Fresh delectable food, beautifully plated and great staff. The owner greeted us and a polite and professional young lady showed us to our table. With the menu changing with the fresh foods locally available, I look forward to seeing what is next!

Great new addition to Pasadena waterfront dining. Really nice happy hour setup inside even if waiting for a table. Food was exactly as pictures had shown online and if the weather is nice, a great relaxing view of a sunset.

Gorgeous waterfront setting with great sunset views. Entrees are on the pricier side but taste and presentation are beautiful. Service was great too. Glad to find another great waterfront restaurant in Pasadena – we’ll be back!

The people were very kind and friendly. I was there for a Memorial. The people who owned and worked there couldn’t have made us any more comfortable and cared for. There was a young girl whose family must own Sam&Maggie’s, she was so so sweet helpful and just such a good hearted girl. She knew all about the food and desserts. I was very comfortable. Thank you Sam&Maggie’s!!
