If I could give this place zero stars it would be too high of a rating.. I tried to call to place a to go order fifteen times, with each attempt being forwarded to voicemail. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were closed or just overwhelmed with business. We went anyways to see if they were open and just place the order there. Once we arrived, I see they’re not busy but just over staffed with young high school employees that don’t care. And guess what? The phone is ringing off the hook and the employees are picking up the phone and hitting end, without ever actually answering it. We planned on ordering shrimp fried rice which the menu clearly states comes with soup and salad. We were then told that you actually only get one or the other when you order to go. Maybe they should update the menu to say that instead of arguing with paying customers because they didn’t have enough sense to print their menus correctly. The food wasn’t terrible but I will never go there again just because they have nothing but careless and arrogant employees that work there. Someone should open a hibachi restaurant in cartersville with the slogan “we answer phones” and Tokyo will be put out of business within a week.

Would give a lower rating if possible. Decided to eat here tonight and had the worst service I have had in a very long time. The greeting was awkward but we were seated quickly. Drink orders were taken and delivered in a timely fashion then it went down hill. We were the last two people seated at our table. Our orders were taken and we waited 10-15 minutes on soup/salad. Others were seated at the table behind us as we continued to wait. No acknowledgement from our server and the table behind us started to have their meal prepared. I heard several complaints that they were being prepared the wrong food. After waiting a little over an hour we informed our server that we were not going to wait any longer for our food to be prepared. She did not say anything and we left and went down he street and got food at another establishment in under 15 minutes. We will not be returning

This place was awesome. The food was top shelf and the staff were awesome. my drink was never empty and you must try the chicken. The very nice waitress even helped with cleaning off the baby. I would recommend this place to everyone.

This place has went down hill. Sad because it use to be my favorite place. Sign on the door “no sushi” then when I walked in it smelled so bad that my son put his shirt over his nose. There was no other customers in there the entire time. My son’s sweet tea tasted like it was very old, the miso soup didn’t look or taste right. I could only try a sip. The ginger sauce in the salad was ok. The only positive thing I can say is the food portions was still good and the rice and steak was pretty good. Sadly I will probably never be back. Volcano is much better.

I really used to love this place because the food is tasty and the prices are pretty fair. However, for some reason they CANNOT get my order right! Every time I order takeout my sushi order is wrong, I tried again today and was explicit over the phone about what I wanted and it was still wrong! I went back inside and they remade it (had to pay an additional fee) and when I got home it was STILL wrong!! I’m not sure if it’s the fault of the server or chef but either way it’s annoying. As good as the food can be I don’t plan on returning.

Been here a few times and they are consistently delicious, sushi is top notch, and the soups and salads are very refreshing. The mian dishes rival the best hibachi I’ve ever had still not certain if they’ve won the title in my book lol . The service is neat polite and clean , and you can’t beat the price either. Give it a whirl I doubt you’ll be disappointed. 😉

My son and I eat here all the time, this is a wonderful restaurant. The quality of the sushi is always fabulous (and I am a sushi snob) and the owners always seem to remember us and make us feel special. The sushi chef who is very personable to my son, will give him a sample piece of sushi (usually squid,) which he thinks he’s cool because he eats it. I have read some of the negative reviews written on this website and I disagree. My son and I will continue to come here and walk out happy.
