I didn’t get what I paid for!! My pizza was soggy in the middle and I ordered mild wings with lemon pepper on the side. I’m not sure what the flavor was, they were extremely dry, sweet and hard. Management customer service was poor. Definitely two thumbs down!!!

This is your classic quick, cheap, fresh, local Italian place – except it’s freaking awesome. Most of the places that fit that category (and there’s no shortage of ‘em) are alright: passable, and you could visit again if you wanted their kind of food quick and there weren’t any other incredible options. But Sal’s is that incredible option! Their pizza crust is really, really on point. I’d choose their pizza over any usual chain, and it’s far better than any other Italian place around here for sure. And of course everything else is great too! I’m sure they have other exceptional things, but I’ve been stuck on their pizza the last four times I’ve been. It’s just great. And you better believe it’s cheap, cooked to order, quick, and casual. Sal’s is a chill, comfortable spot that will wonderfully annihilate all your cravings.

Came here twice with the wife and we’ll definitely be coming back regularly. The staff are extremely friendly the food is top notch and the service is impeccable. Sals has successfully combined Smithfield’s small town hospitality with big city dinning.

I would only give this a 2 star and really that’s kinda of generous everytime we had pizza here the Middle is so soggy can’t even eat it and if you think you’re going to have any for left overs it’s so soggy the next day it gets thrown in the trash we are going to choose to opt out from this establishment and save our money and throw it away but good luck to anyone that wants to try it hope it’s better for you then we have had every time

On 1-26 i was a take out customer, being a truck driver who isn’t local, i just needed food. The computer system was down, and couldn’t accept my card. A woman who was also in line offered to pay for my meal $18.51. And the business even credited her for a future purchase of her own. The people were great. And to boot. The Pepper steak sub was amazing. Probably the best ive had in years. I hope to visit the area again soon. And hope i can walk in and leave a credit for the woman who paid cash for me..5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!

My son Travis, whom I love with ALL my heart is a cook here. However, I will try my best to not be biased. As you can imagine, I’ve been here multiple times with family and friends. We have always had a wonderful experience at Sal’s. The owner and all the staff members, who obviously love their jobs, are all amazingly courteous and kind. Their talent and work ethic shines through in their food; it is delicious! I love the wait staff, literally. They are the sweetest ladies, beautiful inside and out. If you are looking for delicious food with huge portions, and a relaxing atmosphere then try Sal’s in Smithfield. The passion they have to please their customers is like no other.
