In town for business and came here on a recommendation. It was actually the second choice but the first choice was closed and I am glad because the service was good, the drinks were fantastic and the food was delicious. Everything tasted great and I will return when I am back in town.

I picked this restaurant because I love historic buildings that have been lovingly taken care of and turned into shops and restaurants. This turned out to be the perfect choice. We are on the second floor and the Ambience was wonderful complete with live music. The food was also exceptional. The chef is definitely talented. I look forward to visiting again.

Had business dinner here with 3 collegues. The She-Crab soup was the best on my order. My entree was disappointing. Order my filet mignon, medium, but it was served well done with slight pink once I cut down the middle. Server quoted $30, but on the check the charge was $35. Mashed potatoes were cold and barely warm at the middle. I’m thinking a party of 4, my meal must have been finished first so that is why such bad quality of my meal.

It’s been 5 years since my last visit, but sadly, Simp’s has gone downhill. My wife and I walked in shortly after opening and were greeted by a responsive hostess and server. Unfortunately, after that is where things went downhill. My she crab soup was luke-warm, at best, and my wife’s salad was riddled with brown and wilted greens. Our entrees took 50 minutes to arrive. My fish entree was mildly warm with cold grits and gravy. My wife’s beef tenderloin was clearly fresh from the grill without any time allowed for it to rest. I also asked for cloth napkins when our food arrived, but only one arrived, after we had finished with our meals.
