Thanks to the dedication and talents of special people like Robert Cherry Evans (GeorgiaBob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings), barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving GeorgiaBob’s original Brunswick Stew recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today.

This was a shocker. The serving size for a 16 dollar plate was the start, then I noticed the brisket has been sitting in liquid all day… and that is how it tasted… it was like eating cafeteria food. And I did not eat it all, I went somewhere else to actually eat dinner. No surprise we were the only people here at 6:30pm. The cashier was sweet and honest so she won the one star, the food gets zero stars from me

Expensive small portions and very low quality. They make zero effort here a store bought bratwurst and maybe 3 ounces of brisket that taste like it was boiled. It was empty I. The middle of the day I should have known better

The chopped bbq was ok. The Mac and cheese was disgusting. I can’t even explain the weird taste that it had. The baked beans had more sauce than beans and the potato salad was bland but eggie. I hate to say this about a small business but I do not recommend it. I truly expect more from a bbq place in GA.

Food is genuinely terrible. The portions are way too small considering the price, it’s honestly pathetic. I surmise the only reason this place is even still open is because it’s the only place to get BBQ within 25 miles. Not to mention the banana pudding is disgusting as well. There’s a single vanilla wafer put in each portion that’s set in the bottom and is very soggy. It’s also 95% pudding. In conclusion I’d say this is the worst place to eat in all of hawkinsville, you’d be better off getting mcdonald’s.

The pork cracklins were made to order. We had the seasoned ones. Very tasty. You can get them original as well. Unsweet tea was spot on. The pulled pork was juicy with a bit of smoke flavor. We enjoyed the spicy BBQ sauce on top. Brunswick stew was ok. They have a drive thru for convenience.

If I could give negative (-⭐️) stars I would. The food was stringy and chewy and sloppy I had a bbq sandwich and there was nothing on it at all no pickles coleslaw just plain microwaved meat and soggy bun. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was just as bad. Then we thought maybe dessert is the reason they are still in business we ordered 1 of each of the 2 desserts available I kid you not they were so soured that I almost … I know. Please avoid this place. I hate writing negative reviews and don’t ever but this was just bad. I wished I had been warned. The facilities were also begging to be shut down pretty dirty. My husband didn’t want to be rude so he let them just change the dessert and the second ones weren’t spoiled but still weren’t good. Sorry.

I wasn’t impressed. This is bbq, it’s easy. And for that part the bbq is ok. Nothing to write home about. The sides are lack luster. Over cooked and bland. The portions are small. It has been drive through only for a while now, covid concern. They should put up a large sign that says this so there is no question.

I didn’t feel a sense of being welcome no smile not friendly at all. However I ordered half slab rib dinner dine in my food was brought to us in a bag to go sauce tasted like vinegar I did get to trade my ribs for chicken because of them not being throughly cooked the sides are extremely small but the potato salad was good. Main thing me and my guest just did not like the service and the meat tasted like more oven baked than smoked. I was totally disappointed

I had the grilled chicken half in Hawkinsville on 9/21/22 and underneath on rib side was not brown, appeared to need more “char”. Potato Salad was good, but some potato cubes were undercooked, almost crunchy.
