The food was a little more expensive than other Chinese takeout, but it’s just as good. The sweet and sour shrimp could have been better. I suggest smaller shrimp and not frying them so close together. Mine looked like six onion rings. They also forgot the sweet and sour sauce

Some of the best carryout food I’ve ever eaten. It’s fresh and tastes fresh. I order the chicken lo mein and chicken fried rice or regular fried rice. The mixed lemonade with tea is also good. The fried chicken is bomb too.

I ordered $30 worth of food and the most expensive was the wings and they were OLD, not pre-cooked, but OLD! like they cooked them for someone else’s order, but they didn’t pick up so they deep fried them for another 5 mins. Tough, dry, dark bones and veins. The worst EVER!! I can eat chicken 24/7, but not from them!!!!!

the food is typically good, doesn’t really upset your stomach. they will forget things you ordered, a lot, drinks and all and no they will not try to have you receive your items if they forgot it. you’d most likely have to pull up yourself, they will also forget salt on your fries so alwayys ask for extra. they also close before 10:30, not 10:30 somewhere between 9:30-10:30. depends how they feel.

This is the nastiest Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered through Ubereats. The orange chicken was soggy and disgusting. The egg roll was dry and has one tiny shrimp in it. I refuse to eat the rest and threw it in the trash. This was a complete waste of money.

Don’t waste you’re time. I sat here and tried to outweigh the darn stars and stuff just to be disappointed. I’ll stick with China Southern on Southern Ave. I ordered a steak and cheese and NO CHEESE came in it at all! Then the FRIED rice doesn’t taste like anything with flavor. It taste burnt. Yes they are quick but they aren’t worth your dollars. Stick to what you know

It’s everything you expect from a neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. One thing can be said about this particular carryout—I’ve never had an issue with the food over the many years I’ve been going here. The owners run the register, and they manage to learn the faces of every patron that frequents their establishment. Consistency is key when it comes to any carryout, and their food is consistently good. From traditional Chinese American cuisine to something as simple as fried chicken wings and a sub sandwich, Oriental Express manages to offer good quality food across the board.

First off, the staff are welcoming and they cook the food quickly. The location is pretty much right in the hood. No problem for me. No gun shots or bums roaming by the restaurant. So i’m from NY and I love good Chinese food. Now that I live in Montgomery County, good chinese food is hard to find. I believe this place has the best Chinese food in the DMV area so I drove a whole hour to get it! The price is right and the flavor is outstanding! The Chicken Wings with French fries and General Tso Chicken with Shrimp Friend Rice is my go to. I’m sitting in my car and eating outside of the restaurant right now. No lie! Lol

Word that you have to wait in your car since it’s so small where you order.
