Wunderbar!!!! I enjoyed the sweet potato shakshuka with scrambled eggs. It was magnificent! I also had an iced bourbon caramel latte that was divine. Eventually, I left with $30+ of pastry & goodies to bring home.

This place is usually my go to for coffee, tea, and morning eats but the last couple of times I have ordered an iced matcha latte and a London fog both just tasted just like warm/cold milk. My mom ordered a pumpkin spice latte and it had no hints of pumpkin it was just unbearably sweet.

The gluten free chocolate cookie is amazing, and I love it every time. However, I accidentally ordered the vegan version last time. Not the same. I was disappointed in myself the entire morning. That speaks more to how good the gluten free version is rather than how poor the vegan one is. EDIT: I went back, and got the gluten free chocolate cookie. I love it. The sprinkles cookie is also amazing. McClain is great!

We ordered a cake April 4th for our daughters birthday in July. When we arrived June 30th to pick it up they came out empty handed. They said there was an app update to Toasty and it caused our order to be missed. We were given zero apologies. We made another trip the next day to pick up the cake. And still no apology. We will be going elsewhere from now on. Luckily there are more options available in Lawrence for cakes.

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect! We had it delivered pretty far outside of Lawrence and it was still in perfect condition and on time. We left flowers for the delivery team to decorate with and as you can see from the picture they know what they’re doing. The cake tasted and looked amazing all thanks to the McClain’s team! We can’t thank them enough!!

Hands down my new favorite place in Lawrence to get breakfast, lunch, or brunch. The food is amazing, the coffee is to die for, and the bakery is out of this world!! I would recommend the espresso flavored macrons. *chef’s kiss* And they even have a drive-thru!! They offer vegetarian options too.
