Since the new owner took over Peking City we’ve been here a few times as a group of four. Each time we all commented how delicious the food is. The new owner, Oscar, and his staff are on point, the menu is extensive, and service is always prompt and friendly.

NEW REVIEW: Sad that Peking City was no longer in business, I was pleased that someone took a chance and opened it up again. Hearing a few reviews and some positive feedback, I decided to check it out. Gone is the Americana food: it is all ‘Chinese’ now: and unfortunately, very ‘American’ Chinese. If you like MSG sauce + protein + veg, you might be happy with the food. There wasn’t much flavor other than salt in my Peking Boneless Chicken (which was a Chef Special). I ordered it ‘Hot’ and it was anything but: zero heat. The eggroll wasn’t bad but there was no soup included or tea. Other dishes ordered were: Cashew Shrimp and Shrimp and Peapods. Both had the same problems: salty with little flavor. We had an enormous amount of leftovers which will probably end up in the trash. I don’t mind the increased prices (everything is more expensive now), but $55 for four people means the food has to be delicious. The waitress was nice and the rest of the staff was cheerful and accommodating; however, I don’t think I’ll be back. Disappointed.

We’ve been here when it was the previous owners, the owners after them, and now the new owners and it is way better now!! Great service our waitress was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely not as busy as it used to be and I wanna say it’s because of the last owners before these guy’s because we didn’t really like their food either(there was many people complaining) but it is definitely as good as the first owners if not better!! We had their sesame chicken and general and they both were really good! Crab cheese was really good too!

This place is definitely not what you would expect from from a Chinese restaurant. The staff and atmosphere are certainly not ethnically cohesive with the food, but that also doesn’t matter. I had an amazing meal. Special praise must be paid to the chef’s hot mustard recipe: it was spot on just-right. If you find yourself in the Thumb definitely visit Peking City in Sebewaing near the Pioneer and Big Chief sugar factory.

the waitress was good, food came fast, but the taste of the food was very bland, price of the won ton soup over priced did not come with our meal included , egg roll was just ok , the fortune cookies was probably the worst tasting thing like chewing on a nasty sponge , i probably wouldnt be coming back to this place next time , just gonna drive the extra miles to go to saginaw

THE MOST DELICIOUS TACOS I’VE EVER EATEN. They have a very large selection of food and all of it is delicious. The donuts are AMAZING. After a recent staffing change, the waitress was very nice and all of the staff was too!
