I had the crab soup supposedly. It was more like vegetable with a pinch crab on top. I had the crab cake grilled vegetable with fries. The fries were an inch long if I was lucky. The grilled vegetables tasted like vinegar??? The crab cake had 2 pieces of crab in it. And tasted fishy. I had the sangria. It was good but in a small Tom collins glass. The waiter was friendly. They have to do better for the prices they charge. Eighter the quality is cheap or there cook needs more experience. Please don’t give pandemic excuse .

We had three different meals and the giant meatball which was wonderful. The pizza was great, the half and half soup was wonderful but the corned beef on the Reuben was so tough it was difficult to chew or even cut with a knife. Service was ok and the atmosphere was nice.

Have been a few times thinking maybe it would get better. This time got the Boom Boom Shrimp for $18. It was small frozen breaded shrimp with sauce on it. The Caesar Salad was ok, chicken was over cooked, and it was also $18. The Club and loaded fries where probably the best part of the meal, but not outstanding. Everything was just eatable. Way over priced for the quality of food they server. Staff was courteous and helpful the only thing going for this place.

We have been enjoying The Tavern for a few months and feel it is time for a review. We are always pleasantly and promptly greeted by a hostess/server.

I have recently been taking my youngest daughter and meeting my sister and niece at the Tavern on Saturdays. I have to say it’s been such a fun experience thanks to our Server we request each time, Melissa and the manager on duty, Kirsten. Of course everything we have had to eat and drink has been delicious too. Kirsten always comes by to ensure that we are having a nice time and everything is good (which is rare at most restaurants these days) …She is a truly wonderful manager. Melissa is an amazing server who always smiles and makes us feel welcome and is very attentive. We have never waited for anything too long and she makes sure the table is clear and our drinks are always filled. Because of these 2 ladies, we will continue to come in on Saturdays.

TLDR: This place is excellent, the atmosphere is nice enough for a date or a business dinner, and casual enough for family dining ; this is reflected in the menu where you can order steaks and market fresh seafood or burgers and pizza. The happy hour deals are great and the service is impeccable.

Service was good. Food was okay but there were GNATS everywhere. It was insane we rushed out so fast. That means either food is left out or their back dock (trash) is over full, open, never cleaned. I was in the service industry for years and never experienced gnats make it all the way to the dining room let alone into the kitchen. Photo of gnats on the wall

Worst eating experience of 2023. Made reservations for dinner on Easter. Drove from White Marsh. When I arrived was told Buffet only. Never told this when I initially called. If so, I would not have made reservations. I would have been eating prime rib at Mt. Airey Inn.
