At our Greenville, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Total waste of money! The food was “warm” and tasted old. Service was a joke, the front counter worker didn’t offer any condiments and acted bothered when we asked for some. Will never go back!

RUDE SERVICES!! I Did not get the man’s name, but he didn’t greet me, didn’t ask what my order was when I drove up, didn’t ask me if I needed any sauce and didn’t say thank you. What is customer service if you don’t do any of these things? Then to add, we were in line for a very long time waiting on our meal. After I got it, he closed the window. I waited for him to open it back up so I could ask for sauce but he didn’t. I had to blow my horn TWICE. When I asked him was he new, he said “Nowal, I’m old”, he then adds he’s usually in the kitchen. He was very rude. Mumbled something under his breath and cut me off while I was talking. Just horrible service.

Captain D’s is what it is and has been what it has been since I first started eating here in the 90s. The food is consistently average. I prefer the battered fish, but the fried catfish and country style fish are good as well. Typically, it’s fried too soft so I request that it’s fried crispy. The fried meals come with hush puppies but you can substitute for a breadstick (which is the most delicious breadstick I’ve ever tasted). I highly recommend trying the sweet tea. It’s perfect and also one of the best I’ve had. My only complaint here is that occasionally the fries and okra taste like the fish. I’m assuming that’s because they’re all being fried in the same grease.

I stayed in their drive thru line 15 minutes before I got to the speaker. Once I got to the speaker at 10pm exactly the girl said “sorry were closed at the moment” when I know they close at 10:30. Very rude and lazy of them. Then when I pulled to the windows the girl just walked off!

I travel all around the world for work and this place has the dumbest workers between all and out of space every time you ask for strawberry cheese they ring you up for that but only give you the cheese cake . I ask for the strawberry several times even paid 53 cents again now I’m at the hotel with no strawberries at all I had to beg for my bread after they acted as if they spoke no wangling so I repeated it while opening both orders then they understood the girl was so busy snaking her gum that she didn’t do anything right it’s like the place was runing it self while the teenage girls hung out at the window!!! Freaking ridiculous the manager needs to be fired!!!I’ll never come here again this is an ongoing problem
