Neat little place in the historic part of downtown Miamisburg. Has quite a nice array of Cajun food offerings, at a reasonable price. While the food may lack complete authenticity, it is mostly well flavored. The jambalaya was the best of what I’d tried, with the gumbo being a bland rice and chicken soup (adding hot sauce helped significantly!!). A toasted bread on the side would add a tasteful balance, and allow one to soak up the liquid, sauced based dishes.

My wife and I are both great fans of cajun food and we make a pilgrimage to New Orleans every year to satisfy this fandom, so we were very happy to see a cajun restaurant had opened near us. I had the sausage beans and rice. It was a generous portion for $7. The dish was flavorful with a great air of authenticity. $3 for a 2x2x4 in. piece of cornbread seemed a bit much but the cornbread was moist and perfectly baked. My wife got the shrimp poboy and was less impressed. The shrimp was gray and cold and just didn’t taste fresh. Now, we’re in Ohio not Nola so there are no local shrimp boats, so we get that. However, cleanliness is lacking and that’s a bit too much authenticity. There was no use of the hand sink and a worker was constantly scratching his head near the food prep. All in all, this place shows some promise and we hope they get their hygiene issues resolved. We will try them again in a few weeks.

Was sad to see Ms. Pickles close but excited about Rajun Cajun. First visit and service and food was excellent. We discussed spice level and I asked for extra spicy. Was not disappointed! We will be back to support this restaurant.

I love finding unique restaurants with good food. I also like supporting local family-run businesses. This place is BOTH!

I love Cajun food and was really looking forward to my first visit to Rajun Cajun. I placed a carryout order for the $15.00 “Big Easy Sampler” which includes Bourbon Chicken, Sausage Rice & Beans, and Jambalaya. As I was picking up my order, I asked if they used andouille sausage in the jambalaya. His reply was that they were actually out of sausage so I was only getting chicken.

We came for the food, stayed so we could eat the food hot, and… kind of regretted staying. It’s just not setup for in-house dining, which is fine, just know what you’re getting into.

Sizes are small for the prices. Mac and cheese is definitely just some boxed Mac and cheese that they charge $3 for a spoon full of. I’ve never seen such small containers the flavor wasn’t bad but nothing special. Definitely over priced and the customer service was trash two boys sat on their phone with their backs to the door. I had to say something to even get noticed.

The bourbon chicken was chicken breast unlike the typical i expected. To me food was bland, but did receive great service. Sauce was too sweet. may possibly go again to try something different & give em another try

Amazing food. Had the Big Easy Sampler. Asked for as hot as they could make the jambalaya. It was amazing. Great food! Awesome service and for sure coming back to try it again and something else.
