I love trying local pizza places when traveling and Powder River Pizza is one of the best I have eaten in a long time. We got the sampler pizza deal which is a choice of four specialty pizzas from their menu and every single one was excellent. Highly recommend Powder River Pizza if you are visiting Sheridan or need a break from traveling. Rowan was our waiter and he was excellent and extremely nice. Thank you Rowan. Service was great!

Stopped for pizza and beer. Craft beer on tap selection is good with a couple local breweries offered. We opted for the Speed Goat Golden Ale and the SAB Tart Beer (local). The Ales was very good but hubby didn’t love the Tart Beer and prefers Smith Alley’s Summer’s Eve gose instead. We ordered a thin crust cheese pizza to share which was hard and tasted like a frozen pizza from the supermarket. (And it got harder as it cooled.) I think it was overcooked so maybe it would have been better if not cooked so long. Unfortunately many places make their thin crust like this. And we don’t do thick crust…just too doughy. Well 2 stars is the best I can do and that was because of the nice selection of craft.

They bumped their prices just FYI. I know ingredients have gotten more expensive post COVID but $29 is quite steep for the same old pizza they’ve had for years. Service went down too. I tried to pick up a to go order today and it took way too long to get the waiter at the bar’s attention who was just scrolling through his phone. He told me to go to the back because it was too busy in the bar (it was a little busy). When I went to the back I found a waitress with her back turned to the room listening to a waiter complaining about having to roll silverware and it took a few minutes to get her attention too. Pizza still tasted good though.

They definitely have some unique pizza choices. We tried the Thai peanut pizza and a BBQ pizza. They were ok but I’ll try something different next time we are there. The leftovers worked well for lunch in the middle of snowmobiling the Big Horns.

Only Five Stars because I couldn’t give them a million. I was in town for business for 3 days, and I ate at Powder River THREE TIMES it was that good. The dough was amazing and the toppings fresh and fantastic. Every time I went I was greeted by a friendly staff member who took care of me. The food came out fast and man is it TASTY. There are games all around for family members to play. It reminded me of an arcade of old! I highly recommend Powder River Pizza to you and the entire family. I only wish they had one near my hometown.

We ordered the gluten free pizza due to my wife’s dietary requirements. So the regular food could be really good. With the GF crust the pizza was good. The other crusts looked good, and they gave you the honey for the big crust. I can’t have the sugar so didn’t get to try that either. Give them a shot. It looked really good and the GF was as good as it gets.

Stopped in after spending the day at Lake DeSmet! It was the perfect meal to complement a day spent in the sun & water! The pizza was truly some of the best I’ve ever had – highly recommend the Main Street! Pairs great with Ten Sleep Brewery’s Speedgoat!
