So I do love Amatos.. grew up down the street from the india street location.. but it sucks when you get something labeled a Caesar salad, and it has raw onion, black olive, and no crouton. Not what a Caesar is/should be. Not a mistake either, ordered 2 and they came the same.

Ok well first off this is not a high end sit down place to go. BUT let me tell you the service here is first class. Very friendly. Alot of the places in Norway could take a lesson or two from these guys (café nomad, Katherine’s Bakery & Cafe, two prime examples)

Wow I mean never been to a place that avoids orders? What I’m talking about specifically is it seems that the crew who work earlier in the day around noon, are the rudest workers I’ve met. Called an order on 4/26 Complaining about what I order, making a noticeable grunting noise when I add another item on the phone “ no i guess you can have that it just means I have to make it, just means I can’t grab our pre made ones” couldn’t even let me finish my order as I was saying the vegetables and after every one I said she said “ that it?” . This is your job. If you don’t like it leave. Frankly a clown shop over there!

I ordered a small ham and cheese sub and also a large ham Italian. The small sub only had 1 slice of ham and the large only had 2 slices of ham and it cost just over $13. I will never do that again

Always love an Italian sandwich from Amato’s. Nice soft bread roll and the best sour pickles! Glad to see employees wearing masks. Would probably work better if they covered their nose with them as well. It has to be hard working that way all day, everyone was super friendly. The fact that they take cards at the gas pumps now will make life easier for a lot of people

Just moved back to Maine from Texas and this was the first stop. The “chocolate bomb” and breadsticks are pure joy.

Staff is excellent! Staff is friendly and helpful! The reason for 2 stars is, I grew up by the first amatos there was. And the quality of Italian sandwich is not even close to the original I grew up with. Obviously it must be due to supply issues or salary issues, but the cut back of ingredients, makes it not an original Italian. I would pay a dollar or more if the sandwich represented a real italian! They used to take pride in their sandwich making, but not any more. I keep going back, because of the Italians I had as a young person were so good and satisfying, that should tell you to go back to your roots and make Italians they way they are suppose to be made out of pride and for repeat business. Sadly I won’t go here any more for my Italians unless they can make an original real Italian, not a cheap, lack of ingredient money saving knock off. Hoping for improvement, love myself an original Amatos Italian. Take care.
