With restaurant’s warm and rustic design, I had high hopes for the chicken fried steak, hoping for a Cracker Barrel level at the very least, but it looked and tasted like something you’d order off the McDonalds menu. The white gravy a bit bland. The service was also not up to par. The field peas as a side vegetable were tasty tho and the restaurant was clean. Not a terrible experience, just ok.

Shared dinner with an old Navy friend! I had a scrumptious BLT on homemade bread with amazing sweet potato fries! Service was great! Comes highly recommended!

Enjoyed my experience there with Heather being my server. She had a wonderful attitude and ambient about herself while ensuring if I required anything from drinks, napkins or my food. Even made sure I had bacon on my burger before I even got to check it; although, I wouldn’t have minded because I was hungry. Enjoyed the burger I ordered and the bountiful amount of fries I was given that came with it. The fried mushrooms were a bit more battered than I typically prefer and smaller for the price. But beyond that overall a great place.

During our time in Louisiana, I am determined to try non-national-chain restaurants, and we found a food one! The dining area was welcoming, and we were seated right away. Our drink orders were taken and brought around quickly, and our food orders taken. The food was delivered relatively shortly thereafter, and it was yummy, except that our pancakes were underdone, but it wasn’t a deal killer. My boyfriend still ate them. I got the Captain’s Plate, and my boyfriend got the Rough Neck, which are basic breakfasts, but you can get different additions to your hash browns! Take advantage of that! And lastly, our server, Priscilla, was fantastic. She was personable, attentive, and we could tell she was smiling under her mask.

The food here is awesome. The layout of the restaurant is awesome also. Love the theme. It’s like a pirate ship. The service and employees, not so much. The ladies are very rude. My first time going, I always order to go, I walked in and stood by the host booth. They looked at me many times but never came to me. So, I walked to the bar and told them I had an order to pick up. Just their body language showed me who they are. Hopefully they take some customer service classes or something. The food is too good to have employees act the way they do.

Be prepared to wait for subpar food. Served cold coffee, under cooked hash browns, and had to wait almost an hour for this disappointment. Waitress was nice though.

My 1st time to stay in MC although I’ve been here many times for work. 1st time to hear about The Galley and it was a great experience. All the crew were amazing and very nice. I ordered at 7:30pm to go and my salad and tomatoes were like they were just picked out the field. Shrimp platter and the bread was really good. If I’m staying South of 10 again I will come here.

My mom and I went here 6/26/23. We waited forever. When the food finally came, my fries weren’t hot like fresh fries should be. My mom’s hash browns were cold. The only thing hot was the omelet. It was like they made the fries, burger, and hash brown and then let them sit before they made the omelet. My mom told the waitress, who was nice, and she brought her a hot fresh hash brown. But there were some elderly ppl who came in after us and they got food before we got ours. There were some other ppl who came in when we did and they got their food before us, too. We only had two meals. I don’t think a burger, fries, a hash brown, and an omelet are so hard that they would take longer than the orders of the seven other ppl who came in when or after we did. My mom thinks they made our food last because we’re Black. I don’t wanna think that. I’ve never experienced that. We rode around looking for the place, only to be served lukewarm food last. It was very disappointing.
